Very true, but I have a feeling the IOC would like it to go somewhere it has never been before, and Budapest is the only one of those never to host it. Also the decision is made next year I believe, so plenty of time for whatever host to get facilities ready.
I'm talking about not having half empty stadiums. IIRC that wasn't an issue in London. Also IIRC Atlanta was as bad as Rio at times. I can imagine the UK main arguements now. You want ready made infrastructure? we have it, you want full stadiums? No problems.
Where did I state we could stage a Winter Olympics? Don't think you have followed the thread properly. I was referring to the fact that London would be the only place where the wives of the Olympic Committee grandees would want to stay. Manchester and Birmingham wouldn't have the swank you hotels they feel are their entitlement. Not to mention the shopping?
Whilst true, the IOC like to focus on other things too. I think that the most likely chance of us getting another games soon is through a different city hosting it, maybe Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Not big enough populations. I think the IOC are looking for the really big Cities and id be surprised if Paris doesnt get it.
Budapest is the 9th biggest city in Europe, has a population of nearly 2 million, it isn't exactly small. If they are going for the really big cities, it would go to Rome or LA over Paris.
These women are mental.... GB one off for stitches.. another just took the ball smack in the face full pelt...

South African mate of mine from uni was known as 'leftie' as he had his left nut sack split open whilst playing hockey back at home
Not as serious, but playing hockey at school I got my orbital bone broken when some arse right in front of me swung their stick backwards full pelt. My eyebrow was hanging off, blood absolutely everywhere, you could see my skull
