Time for a chunder in the old Pacific Sea methinks then ! Bit of red sails in the sunset going on here.
Peters post is what I'm ****ing referring to. People have complained about all these stupid puns clogging threads, and the line is "Don't worry, it will stop when we have news" well, we have news, and it's now been buried.
Well no, because whenever I spend a few pages debating/arguing with someone about something on topic, people have a moan and a whinge, but apparently it's fine to go completely off-topic for page upon page upon page, because as soon as we have news it'll stop. We've basically just had confirmation the takeover will be going through but anyone jumping on will have to trawl through pages of train jokes.
It ain't over till the Allam train slopes out of sight, the red light of the guards van slowly becoming invisible. Only when we get our crest back, this ****ish 'Hull Tigers' or 'no name' stuff stopped, the stupid membership scheme dismantled, and a sea change in behviour will the 'takeover' be confirmed. Till then it's business as usual. Toot-toot, tickets please.
You could always try starting a conversation on the subject instead of adding to the clutter. Just a thought.
Maybe mods could try and keep threads on topic and actually do the job they're meant to be doing. Just a thought. It seems mods are happy to play the role when it suits them and it's someone they don't like who is derailing a thread, but the rest of the time they couldn't give a ****.
So you do agree it's clutter? Odd that you haven't pulled people up for 'cluttering' the thread, until someone actually calls it out. But then of course it's far more important to speak down to them and blame them. It's the same every time. Someone makes a point about the sidetracking of the thread, and the smarmy mod of the day has a pop at them for continuing the clutter, rather than dealing with the initial issue.
I know it's not definitive, but does, paying off these mortgages by whoever signal a tidying up for actual sale then? Could it be done in next few days. That and hightened activity in the transfer market?
The legacy the Allams will leave us with is a club still, once that's better financially run than its ever been, and a club that's in the Premier League. Don't quite get any anyone would think otherwise, despite all the other stuff. If you choose to ignore those 3 legacy facts, that's your choice, your narrow mind at work. At this point feel free to use the same old tired and childish insults. Yes they got some stuff wrong, but they also got a lot right, which will of course be taken for granted, or just expected as an entitlement.
