I was on about in general. People seem to struggle with their state of the art devices. Yet i plough on with my dinosaur.

I did get the other new one fixed (the one i stotted of a wall) but she snaffled it straight way.

Well both Short and Byrne before she left have stated we are restricted, so that's one to take up with them. If we're ok, why aren't we competing with our rivals in the market? Something is wrong clearly imo.

I guess we will see by the end of the transfer window.

When I say we are ok, I mean in terms of current financial stability as a company. Investing in players is another matter. I think the biggest issue we are facing is even though the Sky money has increased, so has the market. Short is not using the club like a toy as they do at Man City / Chelsea etc... so he is not going to put lots of money in to make big signing.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Pretty much all clubs are in a shed load of debt, because of the massive amounts of money that the PL clubs receive each season that debt is generally manageable. As long as the debts are being serviced the banks/investors won't be worried.

Once the PL money is taken away though (relegation) that's when the **** hits the fan, a la Southampton, Leeds etc.

Basically this is proof that clubs live way above their means and are too reliant on the PL money but if you want to be in the league then you have to invest enough to sustain that income to service the debt.

With £100m per season approximately coming in I wouldn't be too worried about £120m debt as long as it doesn't spiral out of control or we get relegated.

Our expenses are about £120m and our income about £95m (for 2015) which means this year our income has gone up (increased sky money). We will only be in trouble if our expenses go up, so I would expect similar transfer activity to last year.

Man City and Chelsea aren't the only ones out spending us window on season. Well over half the league is out spending us and running in the Black. Not every owner is running their club like a hobby, must are running them as a business. I believe 100% there's problems, other wise we'd be competing. Ellis has said every penny which can be invested into the team is, yet we're getting outspent by championship clubs. Don't buy we're alright. I think we're paying off said debts and Short is will to risk relegation by investing the bare minimum into the playing squad. I'd rather we build a Midtable squad than have some quiet windows while we've bought ourselves some leeway, only I would have done it in the last two windows, not this one as it was clear as day the market was going to become inflated this window. More then one way to run a business. You can cut costs or speculate, both ways have their risks. I'd rather take the one which gave us a bit of relegation leeway rather than take the way that risks a year on year relegation battles. If we go down we could be in big trouble. I'm not sure we're financially stable. Not yet. We're limited in how we can operate, while that going on we're far from stable imo.

The window has not shut yet, there are lots of other factors to take into account when it comes to our investment. The clubs we should compare ourselves to are: Watford, WBA, Hull, Burnley, Middlesbrough, Swansea, Bournemouth you could add Stoke, Crystal Palace and Southampton, but those latter 3 can spend more because they have either sold players they developed for big money or they have a rich owner splashing the cash. Finish above those clubs and we would be 9th which at the moment would be fantastic.

    Lets see what happens.

Sorry Adz, didn't mean to quote you there.

Finish 9th? Sorry, can't take that seriously.

I'm not talking this window though, I always give the club time to do business, I'll assess this window at the end of the window, like I said you last time, I'm talking about the running of the club for the last half decade. We've done this convo twice now, we know where each other stand. I trust we won't need to revisit it again any time soon because we're both just repeating ourselves.

This conversation has been slightly different which is why I carried it on. For a start we have established that we are not 120m in debt but 25m. That's my fault I should have read the accounts in our previous conversation. You bought up the 120m figure which is why I commented in the first place.

I don't believe for a second we will finish 9th, that would be top of the mini league we are in It think we will finish in the middle of that league somewhere 14th ish.

I am fine to talk about something else. I respect your opinion and enjoy talking about the business side of things which is why I carried it on.

No, you said that and provided a broken link. All you've given is an opinion marra. Some reports have us in 138m of debt. Seen nowt that says 25m other than you saying it.

I know lost 25.5m for the season 14/15 from the 17.1m we lost the year before. But these are annual losses. Not overall net debt of the club

If we were only £25 million in debt that certainly wouldnt stop us splashing the cash. We'd be competing for players around the £25 million bracket.

He said we're only in 25m of debt. I'm saying that was the yearly loss according to the last acounts published. Overall net debt is over 100m. Most of it is owed to the bank
