Two days of gardening and knackered knees, sore back and I probably look like that goggle eyes squid!

Loads of bushes ripped up though :)

My idea of gardening is walking round going...need to do that, need to do that, then go inside and have a cup of tea. :)

My speciality is lawn moaning. This is when you say "just look at that grass, needs cutting again already!"

Pay someone to cut my lawn every 2 weeks....garden always looks reasonable. I value the time saved more than the money spent.

I did exactly that today funnily enough! Soon decided going to lay in the sun down by the river for an hour was a better bet :)

    https://uk.news.yahoo.com/icing-gate-great-british-bake-162133202.html

People getting riled about gendered icing on a video advertising the Great British Bake Off. Rightly so....too much concentrating on FGM, poor education for girls, honour killings etc when the really important issue of the colour of icing is ignored. Some people just look to be offended....must spend their whole life in outrage.

Would have been funny if they had doubts and one contestant had pink and blue icing like Signal Toothpaste.

My Mum used to make something that was like icing and tasted like Signal toothpaste. Lasting memory from my childhood!

    Edit: Peppermint Creams!

Was reading the comments after this article, pages of people saying grow the **** up and worry about real womens rights issues if thats your bag, and stop pretending to be bothered by icing colour on other peoples behalf. My favourite comment suggested that the world would be a better place if everybody who actually thinks that this is damaging to women lshould all kill themselves tonight....
Now I'm not advocating or making light of suicide, so would be equally happy if somebody helped them on their way by beating them to death with a chunk of 2x4.
I'd put a smiley here to show I was jesting, except im not really

Lovely! I had a springer for many years, full of character and great fun. I used to love seeing mine running through grass or corn taller than he was and bouncing up every few yards just to keep his bearings. Seeing his dopey exciteable face pop up above the grass as he was criss crossing the field is a great memory.
Mine was a tall, muscular dog, rather than a nice compact one so less use as a working dog but a fine specimen anyway. Had his full tail so really dangerous when he was excited as he'd knock small children over just by wagging it :emoticon-0102-bigsm.

I miss him every day years later:emoticon-0101-sadsm

You do get attached . Our youngest Toby ( Cat ) Has to undergo eye surgery for an ulcer . Had it confirmed today , worried sick . We don't have children , but if you care about living things , you care !!!

Not worried about the Surgery so much , but how he will react to being kept in for at least a week & Having to wear a collar and eye drops 4 times a day .

I'll find you a picture later of our rabbit with the magic leg... It points backwards and in the air the whole time. He dislocated his hip and had to have a very expensive operation. Not insured. :(

All well though, he just sprints around on three legs!

He'll hate it, and get over it with the problem sorted.
It's hard but sometimes you just have to do it as I'm sure you know. Hope he's alright soon Jasper
