He is looking outstanding. There is a chance that we will, briefly, soon be above China not only in Golds but in total number of medals won. Or equal. At this stage of the games that is simply beyond belief when you think about it. Doubtless infinite numbers of table tennis and badminton finals will change things, but nevertheless, what an effort. German just beats Becky James. Why do the German coaches have 'Germany' rather than 'Deutschland' on their T shirts? Is it an Olympic rule that nations names have to be in English? Why would I think anyone on here knows the answer?
Seems like the rules are handily 'open to interpretation' to allow a proper final. For the first time I actually understand this race, the Omnium etc. It really does increase the appreciation of how tactical track cycling is, a real challenge. Not enough to be ****ing fast, just essential to have a chance.
From my close listening to the commentary in previous rounds I understand that this is on the cards. Then it becomes like the two person cat and mouse thing. Apparently the race with the motorbike originated as a gambling thing in Japan, when they used to allow barging, elbows etc. Sounds like fun to me, bring it back.
