I would not personally for the inevitable huge fee that will br demanded

The best keeps have winder saves in them.. cech when he was at his best was very hard to get a goal against. Courtois, lloris, de gea.

This guy is just not a guy id associate with saving his team.
 
We have turned down an offer of £30m for benteke ??

A player we don't even put in the bench and yet we are refusing to break even on a bad decision. Incredible !

I can't blame us, it was £23m + 7m in add ons.

They'll come back with in improved offer, £30m up front I think it'll be, and I think we'll accept it

Its more of the way the deal was structured. £23m upfront and £7m in addons that were ridiculous apparently.

He still scored 9 goals for us in 29 appearances despite not suiting the way we play.

He suits the way Palace play and he'll do well for him, add in the fact that everyone has extra money from the TV deal it actually makes £30m for Benteke seem realistic. Klopp is actually getting us some decent fees for players, which certainly makes a change.

I mean City paid £47m for Stones for **** sake, Benteke is only 25 as well so still has a good 5 years left

Is it really that ridiculous. Is it a game of who will blink first? Yes that has been some ridiculous fees going around but they could just get Bony for probably half that and he is easily as good as Benteke (more clinical, more powerful, probably less fit and less mobile).

There is also Berahino who is cheaper, Maybe Ihneacho? Maybe even Wally or even Rashford

He hardly played tbf.

He's easily worth 30mil in this summers market, a number of clubs that can't score could do with someone that has a PL record of 1 in 2.

Last season was irrelevant as he hardly played. Stick him in a team that plays long balls, he'll be well worth 30mil imo.

Perhaps not ridiculous, just unappealing to the seller.

I agree. I know there was a bet going on here a while back about who would score more Benteke or Lukaku - obv who won but in reality I think I read that Benteke's goals actually got us as many points in the league as Lukaku's did. Lukaku doesn't score winning goals and EFC want what for him .. £75m ... reality check anyone.

Just cause they want that much for him doesn't mean they will get it. Just like you guys want 35m for benteke doesn't mean you will get that either.

Palace might just be dumb enough to pay that though but at that price they could probably get lacazette. Personally would go for Bony myself as he's more dangerous in the air for their wingers
 
Truly awful transfers was balotelli and then benteke, just no point in any of them whatsoever unfortunately.
