Brilliant picture of Bolt smiling as he strolls to victory, if ever a picture summed him up perfectly... http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/ent...icture-semi-final_uk_57b11895e4b01ec53b3f94f2
I prefer to think of it being horse disco. Picturing a glitterball and hearing some Odessey makes it more fun
Cavendish just wiped out another rider , who took several more with him, in the last race of the omnium. Can't imagine he'll get away with it. The points race is a great format, would be fun to see it on the running track over 5000+ metres.
We were debating at work what distance would a race between Bolt and Farah end in a draw. I reckoned about 600m.
Becky James and Katy Marchant both sail through to the Women's Sprint semi-finals. What odds another GB 1-2?
Still recovering from staying up and watching the men's Pole Vault competition. Unbelievable scenes as the Brazilian no hoper beat his own PB 3 times to somehow beat the unbeatable Frenchman, truly unforgettable event ! The women's 400 m wasn't too shabby either. Laura Trott is looking imperious in the Omnium.
The Russians getting some dodgy decisions in the boxing. Michael Conlan (Commonwealth, European and World champion) the latest to lose to dodgy judging. He is furious and called the AIBA corrupt in no uncertain terms. Think he has no choice but to turn pro now otherwise he might get a long ban for his comments.
The Russians shouldn't even be there in the first place. I can hardly bring myself to watch the olympics with the cloud that is hanging over it.
Agree with you Ciarrai. The longer this olympics goes on, the more sickening it gets. Really turned off by some of the judging. The whole thing is corrupt to the core.
Everything the Russians touch turns to shyte, trouble is they have their tentacles into everything so expect more biased decisions...
Here's Conlan's comments, well said... http://www.lbc.co.uk/irish-boxers-x-rated-rant-after-russian-cheat-135522
Proud of him for calling it as it is. Well said Michael. Bye bye amateur boxing for him after that rant.
Looking like another outstanding day for Team GB. The professionalism of these teams and individuals and all of their support in multiple different events is simply superb. We could overtake our Beijing total and get the biggest haul ever away from home Olympics tonight, with loads of days to go. Bravo.
