See now that post isn't racist it's just insulting. This is because it is aimed at only one person, doesn't insult him based on his ethnicity, race or country of origin. It is obliquely derogatory to Watford, but since Watford is his 'name/online handle' then in context this is just an unpleasant insult, not a racist comment.

Umm I understand both thank you. I firstly understand that we are still in the EU and haven't triggered Article 50 yet, but the very threat of it and the effect of the referendum has caused a negative impact on the economy and the value of the pound - as has been widely reported.

I also understand the difference between race and religion but as some on here don't appear to and believe Muslims all come from the same country, and thus are using Indirect Racism based on the perceived country of origin of an entire religion. It is no less incorrect to say it is racism just because the act (just like racism) is illogical and unfounded.

As you may have seen, there has been many reports of British Muslims being told to 'Go Home' or being racially attacked for their perceived country of origin. Even though they are British!

So what you are saying is that 'you can make certain derogatory statements about a whole race, or about a single persons ethnicity, but it is up to you to decide if it is a meaningless, petty insult or actual racist abuse' - regardless of any tangible evidence or logic, or the harm it may cause to the other person?

I guess we'd better rewrite the Equality Act and the associated laws within it to comply with ArmChairBlue's judgements on whether something is 'meaningless, petty, insults' or not...
