Totally deserved the win, but Costa should have gone for a straight red, let alone a 2nd yellow. West Ham barely tried anything against you today.

 

I think we all agreed there wasnt much to be jealous about Bobby, Costa should have gone off obviously and he got the 89th min winner. nothing to fear down the bridge this year me thinks.

 

TBF although they weren't devastating they did look by far the most organised team in the opening games. Everyone else looked a little off pace and rusty (usual for the first couple of games) but Chelsea looked quite settled and ready.

Honestly though i see you being more of a threat to a top 4 place, i thought that before that game tonight and now even more so.

 

Seriously though, you don't think Chelsea just looked like Chelsea. Everyone else (and I mean everyone) looked rusty, misplaced passes, poor control, poor positioning, Chelsea just clicked straight back into it.

 

No i honestly saw it as West ham doing practically nothing for about 87 mins and chelsea knocking it about not looking that threatening at all for most part bar a few good chances.

The hammers never even got out the blocks all game, never chased, passed, or tackled with any conviction or pace or rhythm or reall effort all game and still managed to hold the chavs to just 2, one of which was a pen.

That statement might come back and bite you! Having thrown off the shackles of pre season rustiness against West Ham your game at ours will come nicely in time to see a better more intense Chelsea.

 

I think the chavs will do well this year. Picking Conte gives them a similar style, but somewhat new ideas. Still think they lack a bit up top, but keeping the score down at the other end will see them win a lot anyway.

 

Maybe when i said ****e i was being blunt, your not a bad team but i dont think you offer much goal wise when you take costa and or hazard out of the game, like all teams and their big players of course. Oscar Fab and willian will chip in with a few goals no doubt but maybe only fab has the ability to unlock teams regularly enough individually, defense wise you look solid as expected but what will you do against a more drilled intense outfit yourself when the time come is my worry for you. i dont think youll cope well, but youll do much better than last season
