Inter Milan are plotting a move for Liverpool midfielder Lucas.
The Brazilian was closing in on a switch to Galatasaray last week before Jurgen Klopp pulled the plug at the last minute.
But reports in Italy suggest Inter have joined the race.
Klopp is willing to let Lucas go, but only when James Milner and Marko Grujic are fully fit.

Been told he's not going this window, and will sign a new deal. We'll see.......

We still need some creativity in the centre of the park, and cover up for Lukaku up front, as he's already blown out Niasse and I'd expect Kone to follow him on deadline day.

The new DM - Gueye - was brilliant Saturday btw.

But Jimmy at start of window the consensus on this board was we had 2 priorities LB and commanding CM/DM and neither has been dealt with and i cannot see another CM signing unless someone Klopp really wants becomes available unexpectedly and a serious offer had been received for Benteke.

Lol true. But buying a CM is clearly a priority given our pursuit for Dahoud. I suppose it depends on whether he's that desperate for a CM or willing to wait for his main man ...

Gini can play CM, but he again is a Box to Box CM, not a DM..
Maybe that's his plan, play players in CM with good Box to Box engines?
If so, the likes of Lallana/Gini, Hendo and Can as a midfield could work, but needs drilling into them that not all can go gung-ho..
Need a bit of drilling and fine tuning but I think it can work, when you have a front 3 from the likes of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane, Sturridge, Origi then the 3 in midfield all don't need to go out and help that lot, the odd runner from Midfield and overlapping FBs should give us all the forward threat we need with hopefully the solidity of mobile Central Midfielders..
 
Everton have signed Bolasie then, on Sky sports now.

Hopefully this will create a knock on effect and will result in Palace making an improved bid for Benteke

creativity in the middle is not the koeman way.... not IMO.

you'll be solid in the middle and use wide area players

Look at how city set up under guardiola. tow wide men staying wide and full backs coming in field. koeman might pull a similar stunt with you.

He'll get Barkley fit as well I think and he will be the one for you.

I'd agree you need cover up top. i expect the shane long streak of amazing deals that line his pockets to continue and you bidding <laugh>

I posted a pic of his team with dortmund when at their best. sahin is a playmaker. bender was a worker.

I fully expect him to want that playmaker back in there. I think there should only be two though.. i think he's looked at preseason and this early part of the season we are seeing guys who played most of preseason start.

Origi did faff all in preseason and picked up a groin strain. Sturridge ditto. so not starting. I cannot see firmino first choice if all fit.

same in AM area.

Same in CM area. He picked can on bench cos can bearly got preseason started.

Same at CB.. .matip couldn't start.

Over next 3 weeks these players will be worked on quite intensively

The team in september won't be the same as now.

hope so... the city money sloshing through the league and hopefully we will get out hit.

Palace NEED someone for kebab to play with.

Aye, when fully fit, I still think Sturridge is our main man and we'll no doubt revert back to a 4231..
433 is the formation to use right now given the personal at his disposal.
Think he likes Lovern and will partner one of the other 3CBs with him.
Please GOD, can we get a LB in or get Gomez fit to play there!
Karius will/could well take over once fit.
Can and Gini/Hendo to be his 2 in midfield with the likes of Milner and Grujic as backup.
3 behind the main striker to be Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana, Mane, (Gini, if not played as one of the 2 CMs).
Good to have options but would still like another two signings and also getting rid of the remainder of the deadwood.
 
Sven Bender was the DM and Sahin as playmaker.

Problem is, we are very reliant on Can. No one else can play his role as well as him.

there is nobody else... bar lucas so... yeah... nobody can do the can can.

stewart is oh god stuff.

I just genuninely think we've got that... i wish we had 2 more players feeling coming when we look back in 4 months time.

I feel we all agree on CM and LB and with lucas and benteke going i can't see why we don't.
