What has Brian Cole done to warrant a 130 post slagging off thread on CL, fronted by that snide fat toad Dave Lockwood? Is Brian's crime as a fan to give comfort to the Regime by working for them ? If it is, can CL also start a thread on Olly Groome, Chris Parkes, Keith Peacock and above all Mick "Hi Vis" Everett? Rank hypocrisy and double standards, all egged on by self styled "Big" Dave because he has the hump that Brian Cole did a much better job than him yesterday. P.S- let's not forget that Lockwood was paid by Meire for over 2 years, it took him that long to find his own principles.

I see Rick has bitten back, with his traditional defence that his two mates Olly Groome and Mick Everett need the jobs to pay their mortgages (Mick Everett has also told me the same thing) Two points: Lockwood received a fee of around £50 for match day announcing under the Belgians for over 2 years,. so presumably didn't need the money to work for them. Why did it take him so long? Big Dave Ego. There are loads of jobs out there - plenty. London is awash with them at the moment. If Olly Groome and Mick Everett really hate the regime that much, they don't need to keep taking Meire's shilling. They should resign AND FIND ANOTHER JOB.
Agree 100%. Was going to call him out about it on Twitter yesterday when I saw his original post on Brian Cole. Then I realised there was no point as its his ego that is far too big, and he's upset someone has taken a job that he was talked out of doing, not because he thought it was the right thing to do.
I am not agreeing that Brian Cole should have taken the job - he shouldn't have IMO. What stinks is that Cole then gets his own slagging off thread on CL stirred up by Lockwood, when the only difference between them is that Cole isn't part of the clique on that site whereas Big Dave Ego is.
Really pissed me off when I saw that. Some of the excuses people have come up with for BDL (cringe) are utterly embarrassing.
Especially as the excuses for Lockwood's appeasement were utter BS. For instance, a regular excuse was "he needs the money / has a mortgage to pay" As soon as he quits, ever professional Rick discloses that the announcer barely clears £50 twice a month. If Lockwood's mortgage repayments are that small I will switch lenders.
Some of the language on the Brian Cole thread on CL is straight out of the Arthur Scargill handbook (I've still got my union card by the way).

Dave has apologised for his remark about Brian Cole's ego, admitting maybe it was his ego that got in the way. Fair play to the man.
That comment was out of character for him and I nearly raised it to him myself, think emotions were running high.

Its always the same faces - Lockwood, Hayes, Citizen Rick, the Che Guevara of Thanet, Matt Wright - a bunch of back slappers all in it for themselves.
