Nice post Dylan. Unfortunately you don't qualify for rep for the following reasons:

    1. You didn't make puerile jokes;
    2. You don't look at things through rose-tinted spectacles nor end you post with the obligatory HWTL (much like Sunderland fans end theirs with KTF).

  2. For gods sake, why do people keep on making these articles?

It's simple. Ashley's a twat, he's not giving us any money. There you go.

    **** off mate,

just shows what u know about accounting, selective accounting 101? let me teach u ur first accounting less, wages are a revenue expenditure, not a capital outlay, ashley telling u the wages are coming out of the 35mil is just a way to mug u all off so he can pocket it... and u've just proved that he can get away with it cos ur ****ing stupid enough to accept it, he's taken u for a mug and uve got in his taxi

  5. This. And besides, Ashley should be paying wages out of his own pocket, and giving what he makes off transfers all to Pardew for replacements.

It seems odd to me that having supported Newcastle United for 30 years, you have no idea how many seats SJP has.

Tash has quite literally left me speechless with that comment!!!

If I wasn't so concerned at the level of ignorance I would be tempted to laugh. :emoticon-0108-speec

  12. Instead of being a ****er, perhaps trying offering your opinion or shutting the **** up?

    Sorry Tash!

But why just have a go at me? OT's comment was just as much of a put down!

  14. You both treat me like a child yet you're the ones acting 6 years old by taking the piss out of me. Either shut the **** up or offer a proper opinion.

Newcastle have been hilariously mismanaged for the last 10 years. And it seems the trend of mismanagement is going to carry on with Ashley, who doesn't know the difference between cost cutting and building a balanced squad capable of staying in the premier league.

Ok Tash, and sorry again for any offence caused!

NUFC and MA are separate legal entities. Therefore the wages of NUFC have to be paid by the club. MA could only do this by lending the money to the club in order to finance the wages, thereby increasing his loan to the club (with all the fairplay reg problems that this will cause).

I'd also say that we need to get away from the thought that transfer money is different from any other sort of income. It all goes into one pot, gets taxed and is needed to cover expenses before any can be allocated to buying players. The only circumstances under which the full amount of transfer money received would be available for player purchases would be if operating profits were able to make up the tax loss (and also negate other losses), or if MA again gave more money to the club as a loan.

The cold harsh reality is that it's impossible to predict how teams which are radically altered will perform - your French young'uns could be amazing for you or they could be so far out of their depth you'd need scuba gear to find them with a pass.

I admit I do take a certain Schadenfreude at the antics of Ashley &co and am happy to have a bit of a frisk with some of you but honestly if it was happening at Sunderland I'd at least see what happens in the first few games... the sky hasn't actually fallen and you don't need to wind each other up like this... because that's our job.

  20. Well decent owners wouldn't ask for whatever they've invested in the club back. I never expected the full 35m to be spent on replacements, and i'd be happy that some was saved to pay off debts ect, but the fact of the matter is, unless we replace quality with quality, it's a massive gamble.

If we get relegated how the **** are we going to pay him back then? We can't just keep selling players to pay off our debts, and then just rely on free transfers or spending as low as possible. Money needs to be spent.

Why shouldn't Mike Ashley give a portion of the money he's made off using our stadium as an advert board for his ****ing business? He's using the stadium and we're not seeing any of it back. He owes us a portion of that, but instead he'd rather spend it else where.

He's got no excuse for not investing.
