Two games, and I only saw one of them. If JFH wants to keep him, let's keep him. If someone offers silly money, take it. Eight days ago I would have been delighted to show him the door. If we win and don't let goals in with him playing, I'd be daft to stick to that.
Cardiff respect thing as he previously played for them. Ditto for SWP with his famous goal at Chelsea.
Hasselbaink praises Caulker but says QPR are ‘a unit’ By Ian McCullough 14/08/2016 please log in to view this image Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink praised Steven Caulker after QPR’s win at Cardiff but insisted his entire team deserved credit. Caulker, playing against his former club, was outstanding at the back for Rangers and scored their first goal in the 2-0 victory which left them top of the Championship after the opening two matches. R’s boss Hasselbaink said: “Steven is part of a defensive unit that works with him. “He’s a big member of our squad and an England international. It’s nice to see him around the place giving his experience, but let’s not forget we can only be strong if we’re a unit.” please log in to view this image Caulker’s second-half header opened the scoring Tjaronn Chery’s late penalty sealed a deserved three points for Hasselbaink’s side, who face Barnsley on Wednesday. With maximum points on the board, and having kept successive clean sheets, their Championship season is off to a superb start. The right things “I’m pleased with the boys and it’s a pleasure working with them. Today as an organisation we were good,” Hasselbaink said. “The strikers didn’t get much joy but they worked hard and one of them won a penalty. You won’t win all the games, but we are doing the right things. “Analysing the game defensively, we were flawless. In general we’re very pleased to come away from home and play like that.” http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-hasselbaink-wls-steven-caulker-108563
Been out all day but what a pleasure to get that result..... I do like that top of the league song, long may it continue.....U R's
There certainly were - pretty poor effort for Cardiff's first home game of the season It meant a pretty flat atmosphere - until Caulker scored
I think that Barnsley will be our first real test - both Leeds and Cardiff had toothless strike forces, though today I lost count of the number of times Cardiff were offside
Hassle Floyd Jimmybank did say that the defense was his priority, so hopefully he has sorted it out. Certainly the initial signs are promising.
And the lack of quality we've faced from Massive and Cardiff I do worry about our own potency up front if Polter gets injured. He didn't have an outstanding game today but it was his persistence that one the penalty
Great delivery by Bidwell, nice to see he does free kicks as well. Would have thought Chery would take those. Good to have options, and with Ngbakoto we got a good right footed set piece taker too.
Looking at the table, it's quite scary looking all the way down. My eyes can see only so far so I had to 'phone a friend' to enquire about Leeds place on the table.
Nice, clear highlights here: http://www.skysports.com/football/cardiff-vs-qpr/report/358127 Chery's penalty was a bloody rocket!
So, it seems I'm right about our winning formula and my location in the country when we play. Well done lads. Great result.
Such a bloody cracking weekend with us perched at the top of the table plus team GB I will annoy the sh!t out of everyone at my workshop tomorrow as I cant sing and I know it, anyway I wont stop me bursting into song Love it!
