Said it before but I really think Liverpool are going to do well this year, so much talent up top and think will be fitter than almost every side.

Reckon this might be the year Arsenal don't get top 4.
 
Pundits saying Koscielny should have 'maned up' and played; Souness explaining CB is a position you can get away with playing with an injury. Really, against Mane and the the other's movement??

In Souness' day you could get away with just kicking anyone who was more mobile than you. He'd be getting a red card every week if he was playing now.
 
In the 80s maybe, it's not just him though, loads of bad pundits (and bad managers) think that what worked for them 15 years ago must still be true.

Well, I remember the "hard nut" Graeme Souness scurrying off at The Dell after Steve Williams had bossed him, kicked him, passed him and then played him off the pitch.

Where were you then Souness, you knob :)

Hi FLT, about five years ago l was in Sports Bar in Dubai and waiting to watch us play and before the game started the only football to watch was the Chelsea Channel and they were showing the FA Cup final replay of Leeds vs Chelsea (1971?) and having watched football from that era and before I was shocked by the thuggery that took place then! Amazing how the game has changed - perhaps too far the other way, but could not believed what l was watching.

l also remember the Liverpool vs Wimbledon FA Cup final when Vinney Jones took out Souness after about 5 mins; taught him a lesson about being 'hard' and Souness had a quiet game. Different era.
