Cracking game, lot's to work on in training. Plenty of positives. One negative, Moreno.

    Happy days.

A win's a win as they say, 4 excellent goals scored even with 3 shocking ones conceded and plenty of good points

Something's still not right at the back, hopefully it's teething problems being only one game in but this can't keep happening really shoddy stuff for their goals

Attacking we looked feckin awesome at times and improved even on our better moments last season, really quick, dynamic and incisive, Arsenal didn't know what to do when we were on it

Moreno and Mignolet (alright he saved a pen woo feckin hoo) need to both be shot, Moreno especially, and slowly, like not in the head, kneecapped and then one in the liver or something so he can just bleed out in pain and confused with his stupid ****ing prima donna haircut that he doesn't warrant ... I dunno what Klopp sees in him, if he sees anything and isn't playing him bcos he's basically our only LB, he's ****e at our end - fouling, mistimed tackles, no awareness or forethought, ****e at their end - awful inaccurate shot, piss poor final ball not that he ever gets one away, but he can run quite quick between them to be ****e at either end even more quickly

If rumours are true and Hart is getting the boot from City, buy him, sell Mignolet and have Hart / Karius / Manninger, Hart's a prick who lost his head at the Euros but he's miles better quality than Mignolet

As for Moreno, I'd play an ASDA plastic carrier bag or a wood pidgeon over him right now, at least it wouldn't give any pens away, or maybe actually ...

I think we've established our new scapegoat to replace Skrtel <whistle>

Mignolet wasn't poor today. We have two decent keepers, Ming is 2nd choice.

Didn't replace Skrtel for me . He was already it :emoticon-0146-punch
i do try to avoid the SG syndrome but it is his brainless attitude that i can't cope with . He is a disaster waiting to happen.

So we arrived, and as usual are the most entertaining

Moreno fault for 1 st goal, he is clearly trying to impress but trying too hard

2 nd was cruel deflection (can never do anything about those)

3 rd was a set piece again which can happen at any time, but given our history with them is slightly worrying it happened. No big deal, we'll have more time to work on them this season

We still have certain defensive frailties but im certain these will be ironed out, we did look better but Moreno is a big weak link, I think once Bentekkers buggers off we'll be signing someone for LB

So beating Arsenal away is a great result, but did anyone notice we seemed to be winding the clock down slightly? I have no problem with this just something I noted. Get the points on the board :)

Loved watching Mane though. Thought he was brilliant today, especially as it was his debut.
Looked a real threat when ever he got on the ball, beat their FB who many say is the consistent LB in the league and was so strong, even when he went down he kept the ball and got up again to carry on with it.

Wiji had an odd game. Not sure he's really a CM to be honest, not in a midfield 2 anyway. I guess it was his debut so give him time to adjust though. Can brought a bit more presence in midfield when he came on, looks far more composed on the ball that Hendo for example.

Special mention to Klavan, thought he was very solid. Barely put a foot wrong all day, passed the ball well and knew when to put his foot through it.

You mean Moreno? No scapegoating there - I've consistently said he's pants and he is. He's not being made to take the blame for a poor team effort like Skrtel often was, only for his own inadequacies. He has enthusiasm and pace and some talent, but the computing power of a ZX81.
We have to replace him or we'll lose points because of him. He did his best to throw the game today but luckily didn't quite manage it.

Mane's goal was sensational, out of nothing really. He will be a major asset for us going forward.

That was marginal, would be pissed if ref gave that as offside against us the other end.

Thought was more a foul, Chambers nudged Lovren in the back which meant he couldn't jump/

whilst my views on Moreno are well established i mainly blame lallana for the first goal. One of my pet hates is "trick" moves* just for the sake of it and if he had just controlled yhe ball normally not only would he have not lost the ball the Arse player may well have been booked.. Obviously Moreno had wandered off up the pitch as normal but first mistake Lallana.

*that is precisely why i hated the idea of signing Joe Cole who proved my point within 15 mins of his debut with a stupid i'll try a showboat pass which gave the ball away :emoticon-0183-swear
