We came over here in 1986. My second son (who had trials with Blackpool just before we came over here) within one year got a full Uni scholarship here for his footy skills, and was an 'All American' college selection. I remember him giving Alexi Lalas who played many times for the USMNT the complete run-around in two college games, scoring four times in the first game in Columbus, the final two with a broken foot. My oldest daughter also did not attend any special extra-curricular athletic 'schools' over here but she also got a 'full ride' at Uni for track (athletics), and was also selected as an 'All American' athlete. My other son and daughter were each selected as 'All-State' for Ohio. Make of that what you wish.
I think Michael Johnson was hinting at that she needed a new coach... He just sits there and looks at her when she's pleading for help...
He is British national so I can't see a problem. I am willing to make 2 predictions now. It will be Sir Mo Farah and Dame Laura Trott by this time next year.
It reflects badly on this country that we count athletes born in other countries and who have no British blood in them, as ours. Desperate glory-hunting.
It reflects badly that a child immigrant who has been given a new life and a safe place to live is willing to class himself as from the nation that cared for him? Really?
It reflects badly that lefties still insist on referring to the Queen and her kids as German but state that anyone else who has been here for a couple of years is as British as the rest of us.
Didn't stop us from making her ancestors monarchs, so don't really see why Mo shouldn't get a knighthood. And by the way who are these lefties anyway?
GOLD MEDAL ALERT Max Whitlock has won Gold in the Men's Floor in the Gymnastics. Well done lad. Brazil have won Silver and Bronze too.
