Yeah I thought Can was a favourite of Klopp... On the other hand it's good as managers shouldn't have 'favourites'. Perfect time to play Arsenal. No Ozil. No CB's and a makeshift midfield without Xhaka up to speed. Should make for a very interesting game. I would have played Origi though for the high pressing and counter attack - but wtf do I know?!
Team News Sadio Mane, Ragnar Klavan and Georginio Wijnaldum make their Premier League debuts for Liverpool as they start against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. The summer arrivals are included in Jürgen Klopp’s first line-up of the new campaign, while Alex Manninger, Joel Matip and Marko Grujic are on the bench. Jordan Henderson captains the Reds, while Roberto Firmino leads the line in London. Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Moreno, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho, Mane, Firmino. Subs: Manninger, Can, Origi, Matip, Stewart, Grujic, Alexander-Arnold.
I think Klopp will use this season to ease Grujic in and he'll be a starter next season. I expect he'll get plenty of minutes this season. Looks an excellent buy tbh. I'm thinking it could be Klopp's best bit of business so far, considering the price. Plus by all accounts he's settled into the team extremely well and feels comfortable with everyone at the club, all positive signs.
Surprised Origi isn't starting but good option to have on the bench I guess. Cb of holding and chambers so inexperience to be got at there. Not or keen on Firm up top but I guess it'll be a case of everyone interchanging
I expected Firmino but thought Mane and Origi would be either side. Told you Klopp loves Lallana though #workrate
And only time I'm thanking Samsung. This mirror **** between phone and tv works a charm...picture stays reasonably sharp casting the modbro app stream. Now I've said that it's going to be utter dog ****e for our game isn't it?
