Hi Guys, good to see things going well for us, I was so worried before I left. New owners seem to be 'OK' so far but I think we're all watching that space. Massive comings and goings in the squad which I think reflected in our play yesterday. We looked like a team that wasn't quite the sum of of its parts but there's a lot of 'new' going on so I'm hoping we'll improve with games. Good win, even though we were slightly off the mark. So glad to be home after a torrid couple of months, I don't even mind the weather, it can rain till Christmas and I'll still be happy to be home.
Closer to home perhaps, Ferndale. You can get a lovely glass of luke warm Reyesling there. Oh, and I don't need ANY encouragement.
Here's the teams I don't expect us to finish above at the end of the season: Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, West Ham, Southampton. Here's the teams I think we are very capable of finishing above: Hull, Burnley, Middlesbrough, Bournemouth, Watford, Crystal Palace, Sunderland. We could therefore be in the mix with: Leicester, Everton, Stoke, West Brom. On that basis, 9th - 13th looks about on the money. (I'm not basing the above on this weekend's results).
You recently, quite correctly, pointed out my misspelling of Riesling, where I had the i and the e mixed up. Hence my little play with both spellings ,and coming up with a Valleys version of the famous drink. Do wake up.
I checked on Google to see if Jose Antonio Reyes (ex-Arsenal) had any connection with Ferndale, but I was obviously reading too much into it
Been working which was truly horrible, I resigned. Then holiday in Portugal, watched the nation go mental when they won the cup, that was really great. Then unfortunately not long after had to spend what seemed like an age in Braga Hospital, been a sick boy I'm afraid, doing well now and recovering and so, so happy and relieved to be home it honestly chokes me up. Good to talk to you all again
Hope your feeling a lot better stumpy and whatever it was its problem solved , give the Swans about a half dozen games and you'll feel ecstatic. PS I assume you resigned over that boss character
I'm sure I speak for everyone who posts here when I say welcome back, sorry for your bad experience. Some consolation in knowing you can return to this forum and be among friends.
Cheers Roof, it was a heart attack but I'm recovering well now. The worst part was being so far from home when it happened, you wouldn't believe how much I missed the place, especially as I've worked away from home for months on end for most of my working life. Anyway, back now, I'm so happy to be here. I think your right about the Swans. Merson, Carrager, what the hell do they know. Good to talk to you again roof
