Hence the dickheadedness of them saying well you would of thoughttheyd of spoken to us Just no need for the wording in that statement
It was the SMC for a pound, i offered a fiver subject to seeing the accounts. The ****s never got back to me.
If they decide they want to buy the stadium, then they'll obviously need to discuss it with the Council, but the sale obviously isn't dependant on it, or they'd have approached them already.
Its why they've rushed out a statement to pretend they want to do something. All mad keen. We shall see. Seeing is believing
The article in the HDM says there are three options they're prepared to listen to for the ground. Continuing with the current arrangement, selling for a quid granted there are assurances over infrastructure investments, or a sale for 15-20m. I'm merely quoting that. If there are issues with what the Council actually means take it up with the HDM.
You'd better read the HDM article, it's there that the council say they could sell it for a quid if the deal was right.
The Guardian & the HDM are simply miles apart in terms of journalistic writing quality. As the article says, the consortium which attended the KC (OM) hasn't signed a confidentiality clause which may elongate the takeover.. Would we be able to bring in emergency loans if the transfer window shuts before funds are available?
Hutch, I wouldn't disagree with your point about their attitudes, but unlike the Allam's they were democratically voted into those positions, they didn't elect themselves. The council for better or worse are still custodians of the stadium on our behalf as council tax payers. For what it is worth, I still think the stadium will be sold if either 1) an appropriate or substantial sum is offered for it (instead of the Allam's offer of nothing for the ground and give us £200k to help with the development/planning) or 2) something in kind of equal value is built and paid for by who ever is taking over. If the new owners are as keen as we think, or some of us think they are and they want the ground, then simply they have to bid for it. That means going to the council and speaking to them.
Until its sold for a pound all forms of matter of fact statements from yourself are irrelevant I think our council are dickheads accept my opinion
True, alot gets said pre takeover alot of statements/promises Alot of it is posturing and bullshit I at this moment in time dont believe the council will sell the stadium for a pound, i could be proben wrong who cares if i am I think the councils statement could of been worded better, more of a welcome tone to it rather than a mocking one
Its already been said. They will not sell it. It would go to a referendum at the very least. So not a ****ing chance. They only want a joint venture. So unless Ken Hom and Lucy Liu are money laundering, after huge goodwill for a corrupt regime, like some of the other owners in the PL. And are willing to write off a few hundred million then i cansee **** all happening.
