I am really starting to have a dislike for all things concernig lcfc, yes you have a very strong squad now (minus a decent striker i may add) but you do seem to be setting yourself up for a big fall, we all know the Championship is such a tough league & if you dont get promotion it will be a very poor season indeed :)

5,000 more than your biggest rivalries against Coventry, Derby and Leicester, 9,000 more than your home League opener and 5,000 more than your last game of the season. But sure it was just because it was of Boxing Day and the Leeds fans. <laugh>

All three of those games we're on Tele.

Cov was on BBC so everyone had access to it.
Derby was a night game on tele.
Forest was a night game, on tele, in snow.

Yes, it was because it was on boxing day ~<laugh>

I do hate some Leicester fans but I think that's going a bit far <laugh>

Like it or not, boxing day is a traditional football day which always attracts larger crowds than usual.

You bring (and lets face it are allocated) 4,000 more than the average away side.

Yes it is a bigger game for everyone than say Doncaster because everyone hates you and therefore, loves to see their team win and you lose.

I wouldn't try and make out it's a bigger game for us than say Derby or Forest though because that's just stupid. As Andy said, the Forest game was on TV in the snow and we were way down the league, take those factors out and it's 30,000+.

We get you on a normal saturday, we would have a higher attendance than ususal, but not as big as the local derbies (apart from Coventry, they bring about 4,000 less than you <ok> )

Why do leeds fans keep having to but in and tell us how big they are? insecurity me thinks..bragging about how many mugs mad ken is fleecing just shows you how gullible the leeds fans are...leeds are so big...47 players have knocked them back this close season...leeds have spent the last two months trying to hang on to their best players....mad ken keeps defecating on the faithful and they blindly ignore it and shout "look at us we are BIG" no investment in the team...rubbish old ground....the worse the leeds fans are treated the more they like it...but they are big don't you know...

I was talking to a Bristol City fan and mentioned Leicester in passing. And of course I'm proud of being a fan of a big club, why wouldn't I be? Agree with your point about Bates and the lack of investment, though it's sad that you don't rate one of the few atmospheric stadia left in English football.

leeds 18 , I rate stonehenge, but i wouldn't want to watch football in it....every stadium has a shelf life...your backers have let the fans down, this is now 2011 ,
people expect modern facilities , not attending a grade 2 listed building ,when you were successful where did all the money go? even brighton has a stadium in this millenium, how can leeds claim to be massive and ambitious to new players when they see the stadium is past its sell by date?

I don't understand what point you're making. We do sing in it.

You probably think Old Trafford and Villa Park are out-dated. Elland Road is perfectly functional and I'd rather have an old-style ground which actually looks interesting and distinctive than some boring dish like the Kung Pow or the Keepmoat. Please do tell what about Elland Road makes it "past its sell by date", I'm genuinely interested.

very sad to move as i have been going to ashton gate for 35 plus years from a kid,it will be a sad day but we need to move with the times.

Genuine reply: Posts - They obstruct the view of fans. You tend to find them everywhere in old knackered grounds.

My season ticket is behind one to the point that it obscures my view of the near penalty area. I don't give a toss and nor do players when they're choosing their club. <ok>

You're moving because your current stadium can't be extended, aren't you? Elland Road is in a very fortunate position in that the land around it is unoccupied and unlikely ever to be, so we could expand to 80,000 capacity in the future if needs arose.

leeds 18, instead of mad ken throwing good money after bad on a patch up job on your stadium..a total waste of money IMO...there should be more vision...elland road was designed for a different era...when there was predominantly standing...there are some poor and restricted views because of this...in the recent past, parts of the stadium are unused which looks bad...the mishmash of differfent stands gives it character....a code word for an estate agent ...meaning needs alot of work...if your happy with it, good luck.... i find it and the surrounding area a bit tired and shabby...i think it is part of a make do mind set....stay there another 200 years if the fans like it ....its your business....
