It was a strange starting eleven, but to honest they did quite well. When Januzaj and Khazri came on we showed some real glimpses of quality. When these guys are in the starting line up, with Kirchoff and Catts and hopefully M'Vila we will actually have a very useful team. On that performance, if City are favorites for the title then another poor premier league awaits. After spending that much money and having a world class coach, I wasn't impressed.
no doubt about the pen, but the course of the game was wrong as city were awarded a goalkick when it should have been a corner to us,three touches later came the pen
last kick was a corner i would expect it to be delivered into the mix at least,it hit the first man no pressure.
He needs to grow up does Adnan, learning how to smile might be a start. Hope his miserable clout was dissapointment with his own performance, we will have to see. Like the moniker by the way.
I thought he did some good things, but thought very naive and caught squared up a couple of time, I appreciate it is young love (pardon the pun) time out for me?? Prefer yedlin to this point
Agreed mate. He had a presence in the game for once. He made some good tackles, won some important headers and that assist for Defoe, was top notch.
There's a chance, mate. We have to forget about everybodies past I suppose and give them a fair chance, especially under a new manager. It was Moyes who brought Rodwell through into professional football, maybe he can get the best out of him and finally get the potential that we paid the big money for. If he keeps putting in solid performances, it will be hard to take him out of the team. That goes for all of the players, though.
Regardless of what people think of Sterling, when he's on fire, he's a very talented player. He had a good game yesterday and Love won't be facing talent like that every week. I thought Love done very well, especially considering that was his debut. He looks composed on the ball and showed he can get forward and put in a good cross. We only had about 25% possession yesterday, so were generally pinned back a lot. Against lesser teams, he looks like he will get forward a lot more and will give the team good balance with PVA doing his thing down the left. He got turned inside out on occasions, but his defensive duties will be worked on and sharpened up. I thought he looked a lot more composed and has shown more potential than Yedlin did when he first came to the club. We'll get a better idea for sure, if he plays against the smoggies.
It's a squad game, Rodwell did alright, if he gets better then great. You play players in form. I am not too bothered about Yedlin, it was Loves first game, I think in a few games time with a few weeks training in the team he will become better than Yedlin.
Accepted he was caught out a couple of times but it was against a very good team. I think he is gonna be a good addition to the squad. It also looks like we have somebody who can make a throw in. Something nobody else in the team can do.
Where was the little tw*t n France? Deservedly got MotM yesterday but we allowed, not just him, but all of them too much space.
Aka Bod? I've been wondering what you've been going on about. Why don't you just call him Papy? Bod isn't pronounced in his name marra. It's pronounced Jil-o-budgie
