Great thread this, if you're going to slag someone off at least have the decency to get their name right.. oh and Huddlestone's weaknesses are as follows then.. 1. he doesn't have enough 'Oomph' 2. he's too relaxed Is that your argument in a nutshell?
Sign of a consummately skilful player. Best passer on the pitch (left and right foot) by a country mile, including anyone from the current English Champions.
My only criticism of Hudd would be that free kick in the second half. He walked up to it like a condemnded man. Reminiscent of Waddle for that penalty. His body language at the though of a shot on goal is ****. Why? **** knows.
Why does Huddlestone shoot at all though? As you say his body language indicates he's no faith he's going to score. It's like it's in his contract he must have a **** effort on goal every game. Just pass it Hudd and keep the move going. Or if it's a free kick it should be Snodgrass every time
He only ever scores cracking goals though, just not from set pieces. It was the right thing to do, drill it and either get a corner or a goal kick. Float it and you run the risk of giving it away and giving Leicester the counter attack they thrive on.
I haven't been huddlestones biggest fan in recent seasons but that was more down to incorrectly using him with our negative tactics. He is undoubtedly a fantastic player and if given a bit more license to attack we may yet see the player he really is! Which is a phenomenal 2 footed playmaker.
How do you stand someone up when you're already behind them as they're running at goal? Also he didn't dive in.
I agree too, poor Tom was never blessed with much pace and the last 2 seasons this has shone through and in some more industrial games he is a liability. His relaxed nature makes him look as if he doesn't care and supports the Allams. Today I though he was off the pace but had a fair game despite giving away free kicks.[/QUOTE]
Just for once can we not take some positives out of yesterday's performance against all the odds for a change? Most fans who attend know the players limitations and have done for ages. The club obviously needs a new owner,a permanent manager and few new faces first, then and only then can we get back being a proper football club hopefully run by people who actually listen to what fans think, believe in and suggest. Rant over.
That was great wasn't it , listening to him waxing lyrical about clucas for 5 minutes then hearing that just topped it off
Is this the same Clucas who regularly got slaughtered on here last season by any chance? What do some fans really expect for a young lad who cost just over a million quid?
Bruce took too long resting him last season.the crowd got on his back and his performances suffered .
