They were terrible last year, just were lucky there were 3 even worse teams than them!

 

Southampton has a good run in but we're awful for a long time.

I think what you've said about koeman won't be hard to achieve.

He saw the writing on the wall at Southampton and was happy to get out.

 

I wasnt saying he'll get Everton playing better than Southampton this season (I agree I dont think that will be hard to achieve). I was saying he will get Everton playing better than he got Southampton playing when he was managing them and they were playing well.

I think there's real potential in this Everton squad. I have no doubt he'll get that attack firing. IF he can just sort out the defence which he's more than capable of, Everton could challenge for Top 6.

Edit: just re-read what you posted. Yeh they were inconsistent but still managed to punch above their weight and were always hovering around Europa spot. Also the season before they were excellent. And considering the players that kept leaving, he wont have that problem at Everton.

I think both him and Pochettino are very negative managers so i think everton will defend well but will need a bit more out wide abd lucky staying.

Rafa got points from meaningless games for the opp - CIty, Swans, Palace, Pool towards the end.

He screwed up against Villa & Norwich FFS in the last 8 games. Which decided the fate.

Sam won against Norwich and held on to points against teams with meaningless games.
