Can't recall a single time the commentators have mentioned a positive outcome from a Dummett footballing attempt
looking on the bright side ...at least we will only have to face the mighty Huddersfield one more time this season
And at least we scored a goal today... a rebound from a saved penalty...into an empty net... I'm still not feeling any better
It's funny but Newcastle will win a lot more games than us this season tbf. We also have 2 difficult games to start with, away to Man City and a local derby ........ I'd be happy with a point out of those tbh.
Wow. I know we've had some shocking decisions, but if we can't score and we keep switching off and conceding, it doesn't really matter! Not panicking about relegation yet, but unless something changes radically we could be kissing goodbye to the Premier League for a good long time yet. Mitro the saviour? Either a hat-trick or a red card in his first game back I reckon.
I actually expected a draw, so not surprised at defeat. The issue I have is we were a whisker from remaining in the top flight; Villa went down without a fight. We then spent £35m (gross), Villa lost two or three players. We've looked worse than before Rafa came, Villa won at a canter today. I did say this is likely to get worse before it gets better and I can easily see no wins in August. We need to set up like a decent Championship team, not a poor PL one. There's a difference. We can't play tactics aiming to not get beat in this league, you have to set yourself up to win.
