glad youre well man, yeah bobby d ****ed us all bigtime, i think i only pipped you because you ****ed about with your chips for a laugh. Not even sure they are doing those chips this year ive literally only just checked the site and the layouts different. If Tash or somebody doesnt do it ill try and do it but by god im lazy on the internet recently, think this is pretty much only just over the ten or twenty posts ive made anywhere this year. but yeah nice to chat, hope all the usual suspects on here are good as well, now i just need to work out all the name changes lol
I was just surprised you picked up on it that's all. Just a daft comment. Anyway, lets scrap that. How you doing? How the Mags shaping up? Not really been following what with our latest **** storm.
no bother man im good though mate, ill be keeping an eye on you lot this year..i know you seem to stumble from one crazy situation to another but at least youre never bored eh? Think youre better off with moyes anyway, as for us its obviously the championship so who knows.. but we are bloody lucky to have rafa and what with our performances end of last season and some seemingly astute signings, things couldnt be that much better tbh you happy with moyesy?
Aye I'm happy with Moyes. Worried about the budget though as always. If reports are true we bid 10m for Ayew in Jan and Swansea have had a 20m offer. We bid 10m for Sakho and west ham have just had a 16m bid. Our valuations, according to reports are miles off everybody elses. Just smells like we're penny pinching again. If we're refusing to play ball on the inflation we're going to end up with nobody or worse, more **** signings we can't move on. We'll what happens and see. Tough season for you. Resilient physical defences ahead. Find find the formula to break down teams and you'll piss it.
yeah i noticed that your reported offers seemed to be well well wide of the mark, i mean i cant profess to be an expert in football finances and i can see the argument that these inflated prices are vulgar etc but surely if there was a time to just splash the cash , so to speak, its now. Considering ive heard that players like Mvila are interesting some clubs as well. Idk, its the usual uncertainty for us and yous as per, and trying to be as unbiased as possible i think we have more reason to be optimistic for the future...even in the championship..though a few decent signings for you and that could easily change. Soon see though, as you said. Id say good luck for the season but , you know, i just dont want to lol
Januzaj will be interesting. Looked good at one stage but been ****e for a while. Dortmund didn't think much of him. Van Gaal appeared to agree with Tuchel. Moyes did ok with him though. Sunderland badly need players - preferably for their fans I would imagine permanent ones. They've done this Man U feeder ****e before with Welbeck etc. If they don't sign a goalscorer they have a problem.
One for the whole season? Who is 33? Recipe for disaster. Sunderland need to move forward by improving the squad and stop relying so heavily on one striker. Defoe is cracking striker but he has not been without little niggles and it only gets worse with age. They are supposed to have a **** hot Swedish kid according to my Mackem mates.
Joel Asoro, he looks the absolute business, mate. He is to us, what Rooney/Rodwell/Barkley were to Everton. Unbelievable talent for a 17 year old. I don't really think it's fair what you are saying about Defoe, the season only ended a few months ago and he was in the form of his life. He has just come off the back of either his best, or 2nd ever best, premiership season. He's in great shape. I've got no worries along them lines. Teams in the top 6 would do well to have two goalscorers, like Defoe, in their squad. We are a bottom half premier league team, some teams won't even have a true 'goalscorer' in their squad. We can't expect to have two. We have players around him like, Asoro, Borini, Khazri, Watmore, Januzaj and Lens, who will all be looking to chip in with goals. Kone has shown he's a defender that will score goals, same as Van Aanholt, he looks good for about 5 goals a season playing from full back.
Even Swansea have gone and got llorente and some Athletico Madrid lad who scored a few last season. Look at the likely rivals: Bournemouth - Wilson, afobe, grabban Watford - deeney, ighalo, vydra West brom - rondon, beharino, lambert Middlesbrough - negredo, Rhodes Hull and burnley I imagine have similar issues behind Hernandez and gray. As a Sunderland fan you want to be elevating above those and looking towards 12th. Safe away from the ****e. At present they look like just being slap bang in it again. Got some squad fillers now they need to go get a big name striker, m'vila, couple of 1st team defenders. Don't get me wrong I hope don't and stay in the ****e as usual
You can't expect another Defoe - you need a striker who can get his fair share or bring others into play. Deeney/ighalo is probably the most realistic level
Wilson, Afobe, Grabban? **** Deeney and Ighalo - Fair enough Rondon, Berahino, Lambert? Goalscorers? **** Negredo and Rhodes - Yet to prove a thing. I'm not sure how you can name that ****e above and totally dismiss Borini, Januzaj and Asoro. M'Vila has signed a pre-contract agreement. He's ours, either by end of August, or January. We'll get him for a couple of million on the last day of August. Doesn't make sense for Kazan to hold on to him until Jan, paying his 100k week wage and then lose him for nothing.
Probably, he's had his arse slapped for acting like a bitch. He's been fined and told he'll be offered his new contract in September, when the clubs ready.
Harsh on afobe and Wilson - Wilson looked good at the level before injury and afobe did OK (maybe 1 in 3). I reckon both will improve this year. Beharino, rondon are solid. Indeed beharino could be the new Defoe if he wasn't such a ****. Lambert is obviously past his best. They have numbers. The players you mention are more like wide forwards. Borini looks **** up top, really weak. The others have those types with Jerome Sinclair, ibes, arabaat, Ramirez, gradel etc etc. They will chip in goals as will borini, lens, januzaj. You just need a striker. Defoe gets a cruciate on August 31st. Who plays up top? Someone is better than no one. It's not like barca with false nines or world beating wing forwards. The point is more looking to be above the seasonal relegation battle. I don't think many Sunderland fans would be confident as it stands. For the fans it's a shame with the likes of Kone, Kirchoff, Defoe, khazri, m'vila, mannone - building blocks are there you don't want handicapped
