These posted on the club site: http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2011/August/RNKSplitTrainingPhotos.aspx

I see that Dempsey, Dembele and Salcido all seem to be taking part in training now. Whether that means that D and/or D are likely to be involved tomorrow night, I don't know, but it's good news all the same. Assuming they are up to it and don't need a sub appearance to break them in, I hope they both start. What I'm less sure of is which one I'd play up with Bobby and which one on the left wing...

I agree with Bidley, but wouldn't really mind either way - it'll just be great to have them back. Wonder where Salcido will fit in though? Haven't heard any more rumours about him leaving recently.

Is it me, or are some of the players in the picture wearing white support bras? Is the mansierre (Seinfeld) a part of the kit?

I thought everybody wore a white support bra these days. No? Just me? Ah, that's a bit embarrassing...

When I was still playing football here in Germany a year ago, one of my friends used to put band-aids (you call them plasters) on his nipples for some reason. I wonder if it's the same thing.

    Honestly, you lot!

The more observent among you (who weren't only looking at what the players were wearing!) will have noticed that Bobby has hurt his hand. Apparently it is broken (how can you break your hand playing football??) but this won't stop him playing tomorrow.

I know exactly why he did that. When I was playing for my local team when I was younger, our away shirt used to make my nipples bleed. No joke. Only the away shirt though...

    Enjoy that thought.

Bidley ... OK, I know what you're talking about. I used to surf since I lived in Hawaii and got something called board rash, which was kind of the same thing. I didn't wear a bra, or band-aids, though. Locals would have killed me.

Bulldog Bash next weekend. Are you going to be there?

I wish I lived in Hawaii! But yeah, you should suck it up, nothing is so painful you have to wear a bra.

I'm afraid not, we never got a confirmation email. Which has worked out quite well in retrospect, as I'll be at Bloodstock (Metal festival). You're making a road trip out of it aren't you? Sounds awesome.

Hawaii was interesting. Thirty years ago I was one white guy in a school of 1200 non-whites. Learned about prejudice the hard way, but wouldn't change a thing.

Bulldog is my big "man weekend" motorcycle road trip of the year. It takes about 10 hours from SW Germany, about 5 hours to Calais, then over the channel and another 4 hours up to Stratford. I ride with a club called Tribe of Judah.

That does sound interesting, almost the polar opposite of my upbringing - rural East Anglia is hardly a melting pot.

10 hours is a lot less than I thought, but then I suppose you eat the miles on das autobahn ;) Just Googled your MC, they're based in Texas if I read correctly. Are you American, by definition?

Yeah, I'm an American, but I've lived in Europe the last eight years and played football (soccer) all my life. I've been a Fulham fan since Eddie Lewis joined the team about 10 years ago, but rarely get a chance to see the boys play live. I'm hoping this year during the Euro campaign that they'll be playing somewhere nearby and I'll get a chance to see them again. Two years ago I saw them in Basel.

People usually pick up that I'm an American by my spelling (i.e. what color will Fulham be wearing).

Tribe's out of Texas, but I'm part of the German chapter. The Hell's Angels afford us the curtousy of attending their event since we're a neutral ministry rather than a rival club.

Well I've seen you talk about where you live/have lived, which seems to be everywhere but America, so I didn't like to assume ;)

I had no idea Bulldog Bash was a Hell's Angels event. You learn something new every day...

I've just been looking up the Tribe of Judah online as well, DR. It sounds fascinating. How did you hook up with these guys in the first place?

A friend of mine is a full-patch Tribe member. I rode with him to a few events in '09, then a bunch more last year just to see how 'real' it was. I've been a serious christian a long time and wasn't interested in joining some mamsy-pamsy, christian bike club. After my trip to Bulldog last year, I was very impressed by the seriousness of these guys and signed up. Tribe's all business.

Bulldog is the Angel's big annual event, thus other 1% motorcycle clubs (like the Outlaws, Banditos) would be very unwise to show up wearing their colors. Having said that, thousands of unaffiliated campers and bikers enjoy the event every year.

Sounds great, DR, more power to you. I'm a serious Christian too (well, a fairly flippant one, but serious about my faith), but pretty mamsy-pamsy when it comes to motorbikes and the like.
