I really have to get a clip of this.
Yesterday morning when I was having breakfast their was a magpie & a squirrel in the same tree who appeared to be fighting. Then I started thinking they were actually playing but shrugged it off. When I went to have a closer look all the birds, on the feeding tree, flew off and the magpie scarpered.
I decided I'd been imagining things but they're here again this morning, chasing each other around the tree and making a right game of it. There are a lot of young birds & animals at the moment, fox cubs etc, who are play fighting but I've never seen a mammal and a bird doing stuff like this. I've seen baby squirrels having 'mad half hours' bouncing on branches and stuff but never anything like this.
The magpies always scatter if I go to the patio windows but I'm determined to get a clip, if I do I'll stick it on here.
Has anyone else seen anything like this without the aid of drink or drugs?
