That was thing that stood out for me. <laugh>

Apparently they were used for the last FC game and were really slow to get through.

Is this the third digital turnstile system we've had? How come every other club can manage to install one that works first time?

For all the added expense we might as well have just kept the staff on the turnstiles ripping tickets out of books.

It'll be the fans fault though.

Very true. In fairness the last one was utter ****e so maybe this one will be the solution. Can't help but expect another ****up though.

It does seem to be the simplest, lots of workplaces have them. Won't work in a power cut though !

Don' t worry next season it will implantable rfid chips. Then when there's a red card protest they can zap you through a signal to the chip. Surely only the Chinese have technology like that ?.........oh hang on...

I suspect we might have had a back-up generator installed...

No doubt , but I said power cut...which includes generators. But I know what you mean. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best, a bloke (or woman) on a manual turnstyle with that weird thing called cash...like at Boothferry Park.

****..I thought I was being clever , That was my wooosh moment. Good point but knowing their business acumen they probably bought it from a competitor after going out to tender.

The problem at the Rugby was that a large number of people were doing it wrong, presenting their passess incorrectly, also not waiting for the Enter signal before entering. Late arrivals are also a problem, you cannot turn up 5 minutes before kick off and expect to get in on time. The 50 turnstiles are designed to work at a minimum rate of 660 people per hour as per the guidance. This system can operate a lot quicker than that but not quick enough to get everyone in in a few minutes.

We're all humans. Some humans have a bit of common sense, some have a modicum and some have an IQ of a pre-school plankton.

But we can all be trained to carry out simple tasks.

Except the first game of a new season, early kick-off, is not the best time to start training.

The passes should all have been sent out earlier and a pre-season friendly arranged (even if it's U21) with free entry for all passholders to test the system.

    It really is that simple.
