29-0 at half time. Bloody hell.

Play for pride and all that cliched balls time.

They are on another plain to any other team in it though, and it will be the first medal Fiji have ever won at an Olympic Games.

Buggers should have been happy with a silver.

This must be an exhausting game when you are being slaughtered.

Great work from the touch judge to spot another try for Fiji, just when we had them on the rack.

Still, a great effort from the British team, especially as they were only invented for this one tournament and will never play together again.

    Fiji were fantastic.
Shame GB completely bottled it in the final though.
    Embarrassingly bad.

Don't think anyone "bottled it", they were simply outclassed by the finest side in the competition.....Fiji were just brilliant combining, power, speed, fabulous ball handling skills that no side could compete with........

Thank god the athletics starts today.

Good to see Team GB doing quite well and winning medals. In the meantime, Team Ireland having a but of a mare so far. The Sports Minister is on his way to Rio to talk to the CEO of the Olympics Council of Ireland (OCI) after an Irishman was arrested in Rio after 1,000 OCI tickets were found in his possession. One of Ireland's leading hopes in the boxing, Michael O'Reilly found positive for doping and has been sent home in disgrace. Things can only get better.

Indeed Fiji were all those things and more. Breathtakingly brilliant.
However, GB couldn't catch or pass the ball. They could in all the games leading up to the final, but in my opinion the occasion really got to them.
I'm not saying they would have won but they could have made more of a game of it.

Great to see Glover and Stanning belting out the national anthem with huge beams on their faces as they pick up gold.

2 golds already, a good day for team GB, with more to come.......

This. I watched as many of the games as I could, and Fiji were streets ahead of everyone else in terms of energy, strength, and tactics. Sometimes, the best team wins no matter who they play against and how the other team fares. This Fiji side deserves all the credit - they were incredible.

Antony Worrall Thompson going well in the Heptathlon. Looking like a 1-2 for GB.
