According to reports Roofe and Bartley were Evans targets given to Cellino http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/08...ar-roofe-for-leeds-united-steve-evans/297764/ You can safely say ex Swansea connections with the others are down to Monk. Not complaining, glad Cellino is listening for a change
Any mileage in this? "Can't believe that journalists haven't yet made this connection between Radrizzani and the Baofeng Group…. earlier this month Radrizzani had the company that he founded bought out by the Baofeng group and took up the post of Baofeng's sports development executive. Radrizzani is a middleman between the Chinese and leeds. Please let this be true and a takeover is imminent! Interesting."
It's the according to reports that I don't understand or believe Ristac. I've given up listening to he said she said..but fair play if you have contacts (which you've never said you had)..
Like I mentioned earlier, seems like a pleasant change that the coach is having more of a say as to who he accepts. He (Monk) apparently turned down three RBs including the Italian we gave a trial to and director of football said in an interview Monk is challenging them (Cellino+) to do better.
How many league defeats do you think it would take for the trigger to be pulled? I reckon we lose the next 2 (hope we don't) and Monk will be gone. Cellino will hold a coach even more responsible for poor results if he has had a say in signings, tactics and style.
That is always the fear with Cellino... If Cellino had got Monk in even 2-3 weeks sooner and squeezed in at least 2 more preseason friendlies we might not be playing catch up. I don't think Cellino will ever learn, he might however think twice about pulling the trigure as replacing Evans seemed a bit of a drama. Biggest fear is Cellino not giving Monk time before pulling the trigure and bringing in some foreign coach we have to research on Wiki Not just the coach but his backroom staff too. On paper the squad looks quite strong in comparison to previous seasons, let's just hope they start performing as a team sooner rather than later
