You have to wonder with the beach volleyball which competitors were the ones being forced to conform to other people's expectations. The woman in the hijab or the elite female athletes performing in bikinis (compulsory until recently).
Maybe the sport would probably never have been considered for the Olympics if it weren't for the bikinis. It is a truly dull, dull, dull sport to watch.
I can't watch that either. And water polo. I should get a gold medal for staying awake during a match.

Well, I've been trying to improve my sporting knowledge over these Olympics. I watched the boxing and learned that if you only lose on points then it isn't too bad. Applying that knowledge, we have lost this game on points - so we didn't do too bad. Well done GB
It was more of a technical knockout mate. We were absolutely kicked to ****. Luckily for us the games don't last long. Fiji did very well and I'd like to congratulate them. Then have them tested for drugs. Twice.
Nev - they are introducing a new sport for the next olympics "Keeping Game threads up to date" I suggest you get some training in as at this rate Trev and IBWT are going to form the GB team.
wtf don't you people like about sport in general. ffs, we have dressage (Anna Sewell knew it was coming), judo, fencing (Dumas, you legend), shooting with pistols/rifles the US Army would love to have so they don't kill themselves or each other, archery (love a good Robin Hood story), the list is endless. OOOOOOOpppppppppppps, I don't make enough fking money, lets have tennis, gold and basketball. And to cap it all, lets all take drugs to enhance what we can do but only get caught twice. Sorry if I am being somewhat cynical but as much as I like watching the Olympics it has become somewhat of a joke.
