It looks as though terms have been agreed for a 5 year deal for Rolando to be announced on Thursday. He seems a long way from being a regular first choice winger. Bags of skills but makes poor decisions and reads the game badly at times. That said, with all his injuries he's not had enough game time to develop like we would have wanted and he could definitely still come good. Rafa just needs to get him to be more of a team player I feel and learn to pass to his team mates at the right time.
Pleased he's signed. Tbh, I expected him to be progressing more quickly than he has. Still, plenty of time for the lad. Oh he's playing for the black and whites, his futures bright, Rolando, When you see him flying down the wing, the Geordies sing "Rolando", And we could never thought that we would lose....... Rolando's the best. Oh he's playing etc, etc...........
Still got a lot to prove imo, and not really deserving of this new contract - good games against Paace, Man City and Spurs in the last 3 years, but little else. Always injured and often anonymous on the rare occasion he does play. We've just signed up the new Kieron Dyer.
