Us or Cardiff away to Scunthorpe someone explain?? Or we're Chelsea away if Cardiff win I think? **** knows???
Draw on sky is strange. My guess is gas play Cardiff tomorrow and have Scunthorpe away. We have Chelsea away
Home draw in EFL Cup news Wed 10 Aug 2016 The draw for the second round of the EFL Cup has been made, with the Blues being handed a home tie. Chelsea will play either Bristol Rovers or Bristol City in our first cup match of the 2016/17 season. Ties to be played week commencing 22 August. How the **** have "gasheads" climbed into this one? http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/08/home-draw-in-efl-cup.html
Ahhhhh If Cardiff beat Bristol Rovers tomorrow, City head to Chelsea in the cup! If Rovers win, we're off to Scunthorpe United. What a ****in palava...
Clear as mud ! Can someone explain why if the slags beat the Taffs they play Chelsea and we go to Scunny. Other than Chelsea who else is seeded us, Crapdiff or Scunny?
Remember, Chelsea v Bristol Rovers/Bristol City and Scunthorpe v Cardiff/Bristol City will be determined by who wins tomorrow night between Cardiff and Bristol City. That's what it says on sky. According to them we play Cardiff! It should be the gas of course. Think I get it. Something to do with seeded teams and home draws. Crickey, what a choice,do I want Cardiff to win or the gas?
I don't understand how a draw can be dependent on another result. Surely it should be winners A v winners B etv
Wisereds post with the link earlier seems to explain it quite well. Never been a fan of seeded draws. The worst example of this is Tennis.
Usually not, but that depended on the terms Chelsea set. My guess is that they never would have expected to play us and maybe overlooked it.?
This is wrong, such a carrot for the Gas now knowing what awaits, they shouldn't do the draw until all games have been played for this very reason. Utter fu**ing shambles by the EFL committee
It is, but we're on the borderline of being seeded. So the top 25 teams of the 50 are seeded, and we are either in 25th place (if Rovers win hence we face Scunthorpe), or 26th place (if Cardiff win, overtaking us because of their higher league position last year, hence we face Chelsea). Wouldn't surprise me if this is a first in a cup draw. Bit of a weird one.
HOW many tickets would we get for Chelsea 25% in a cup game i believe, imagine that. Cardiff do us a favour and beat the gas.
