    Spurs transfer chief to leave club

    Paul Mitchell, Tottenham’s transfer guru, is set to leave White Hart Lane as he looks to join Leicester City - but won’t be allowed to depart straight away. Spurs chief Daniel Levy has confirmed that Mitchell, who moved to Spurs from Southampton two years ago as part of Mauricio Pochettino’s backroom staff, is departing the club. Mitchell, 34, was officially classed as Tottenham’s head of recruitment and signed a three-year deal, that was due to run until 2017.

    ... we might let Mahrez go if someone comes in with a bid of £45m plus ... but I doubt it even then ... he has 3 years of his current deal still to run after all (and no release clause) ... but absolutely no surprise our players are coveted ... we are the best team in the Prem as the records show ...


    ...must be of some relief to Spuds fans that nobody seems interested in their players ... not even for Harold the specialist penaly taker who would probably fetch around half of what we would want for Mahrez ... :)

    The reason nobody has come for Kane is because he doesn't wish to leave and we would never voluntarily sell him.

    Conversely, Mahrez has refused to sign a new contract and will most probably be gone in Jan.

    To be fair there's a definite French media campaign to make him move which the British media are contradicting, no solid facts saying he wants to move. The most concerning thing for me personally is his recent performances but that could be for any reason. I hope it could be as simple as that if he's been offered the 80k a week mentioned, that he is holding out to get parity with Vardy and rightly so. Basically plenty of explanations that don't necessarily mean he wants out
