Not particularly bothered about the Southampton news, not more than I was before anyway. It was obvious that the longer we took to get it done it was highly likely that someone else would snap him up. It's been coming for weeks.
If we don't get Mvila now I am going to give up on football and stick to watching Ice Hockey, our club is a complete joke.
Thats fair enough but we need to see some quality, Mvila and Kone are proven premier league and international players. When Moyes signs some real quality on permanent deals (not loans) I will feel a little better. This is a results based industry. It does not matter who we have on the pitch as long as we are winning games. The test will be on Sat vs city, at this stage I can see us getting stuffed out of sight.
Over the years my love for my club and football in general has slowly been chiselled away. If we lose M'Vila AND Kone then all that may be left is a big pile of dust! I just wish we had people in charge who can at least give an indication that they know what they are doing.
Keep Kone, get M'Vila, get a striker! Its a no brainer. Cant understand why we are pissing about. Surely now the fans have a right to know what is going on.
Haven't a Scooby what is happening with M'vila, but all this time being wasted it wouldn't surprise me if another club went in for him. If he went and found another club after all this pissing about i wouldn't blame him either. We must be the laughing stock of the Premiership when it comes to transfers.
What if it's him doing the pissing about? He could quite easily have signed a pre-contract agreement with us already which means he signs for free in January. Or it may be all done bar the international clearance? In reality, no-one knows anything and majority assume it's the club ****ing about (particularly after Kone's comments!) when we don;t really know! I think there's something else in the M'Vila thing. Something none of us are aware of as there can;t be any other reason for it not to have been done considering we've apparently agreed a fee and personal terms!
That's pretty much what i said, i haven't a clue what is happening with him. Yes we or most of us on here assume it is SAFC that is holding things up, be it Moyes wanting to see if he can get someone else in first. who knows. It could be M'vila himself pissing about like you say. But if it was stated some time ago that the fee and personal terms were agreed then why hasn't anything else been said, like waiting for clearance or anything to confirm that he is still wanted by us? Like you say Marcus, there has to be something else to this saga for it to be on going like this.
I've just read somewhere that Rubin Kazan don't want to be seen as a soft touch to other clubs. For all we know they might be holding up the transfer to make it look like they've made us really work to get the signing done, to deter other clubs...
our negotiators are a bunch of penny pinching bastards, and this attitude comes from the very top, Short out
