Everton have new owners , how are they investing ? Well for starters they will have to spend 47 million they got for Stones before they start investing . We got 30 million for Ayew and Williams . From the ground up is the build I'd like to see , while continuing to return to " Practical Value " at transfer time . I think we will get a few new players but can't help but look who we have right now and feel ok . The January window might see a few " Big Buy " players .
But we could be in trouble come Jan. I'd rather get all of our players in by the end of this window. We should only buy in Jan if someone decent either becomes available or if we're short in a position because of injury etc.
http://news.ladbrokes.com/football/...er-record-for-higuains-midfield-provider.html What a signing this would be. It would be a real statement of intent.
I expect to " Loan " a CB till we see what we have and transfer accordingly in January . Another striker will be coming in . If it's Baston , were good . If not we will get a mid grade loan or transfer and transfer big if neccessary in Jan . I bet if you asked the coaching staff , they are happy up to this point with who they have . CB and striker and were full strength at a good net transfer ....again .
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/08/1...lub-record-offer-for-islam-slimani-turned-do/ If we are that 'committed' to signing him, I think another bid will go in here.
Don't know Roof, I'd have said a CB and striker and we are done, but the sound bites coming out suggest we are not finished yet. We are also being linked with some additional signings of real quality too. Get this Allan, Islam and Baston, along with another CB and we would be targeting a Europa spot this season and could win one of the cups. As it stands, we have a good squad, a couple of these signings come off, and we'd have a great squad.
http://tbrfootball.com/arsenal-must...-striker-linked-mahrez-reportedly-wants-move/ Wengers lost the plot. £30m for Bony?
They have never made any commitment to invest in playing staff, all they mentioned was about sustainably running the club. People asking where the money is for players, well the money already earmarked is being spent, the only one that caught them by surprise I think is Ash, they knew Ayew would be going is my opinion. And making a stance is meaningless, all players are available given the right bid, the players and their agents know what the release clauses are on their contracts, so other teams will know exactly what to offer, I think Ayew had release clause of £20m plus, so if a team offers that and the player wants to go, what can we do?? And the club needs to operate in the black, meaning that just because we are making a profit on sales it doesn't mean we have to spend all that on it. Do you think Everton will spend all their money on players from the Stones transfer?
Shut up for fooks sake, they owe us £8m for him plus a sell on clause should he sell for I think £28m or above
Baston having medical according to BBC. That should now be in the bag. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36985781
Baston will be a very decent signing I think. Exciting times ahead? Let's hope. Some quality names we've been linked with, fair play. But 'linked with' doesn't mean much and we need to convert some of them. The Allan link is very interesting indeed.
