I'm just not sure what to make of it - Allardyce promised him a new deal and then subsequently left. The club has been very much in limbo until that point so no new deals would happen. Hopefully this video will give Short a kick and get him to offer a new deal!
Neither Allardyce nor Moyes can sanction new deals, that has to have been agreed from within the club. This has boiled my ****ing piss. I've just read similar posts to mine on the other thread so I'm not the only one thinking that mate. I really don't know how good this McNair is and whether Moyes reckons he can make a solid pairing with Kaboul and free up some cash at the same time. Moyes does personally know the lad after all. Anyway, that's my take on it.

Basically we have a top quality defender at our club that Sam managed to unearth whos still only 27. Hes took to the Prem like a duck to water, offers us a big physical presence in defence and attack and seems a big character around the dressing room. If we have any kind of ambition we need to pay him the wages that big players like him get from other clubs. If not then it shows a huge lack of ambition in my opinion. Ill wait with baited breath to see what the outcome is.
I think we need to be borrowing some bedsheets from NE1 (we can correct the spelling before we give them back) - this is a joke of a club now in the same bracket as them up the road at least everyone knows what Ashley is.
