    Good Morning Everyone,

As we already know, Leeds face Fleetwood Town in the first round of the League Cup tonight, but how important is the result?

Would it matter if the gaffer put out a weaker side than Sunday (well, he could try) and we were to go out, or is it important that we chalk up our first win?

According to Joe Rawson, Leeds will sign a Premier League midfielder in the next 48 hours, and it's not Bridcutt....

A couple of names that have been bought up are Rodwell of Sunderland or Jedinak of Palace!

    Any idea's?

Personally, before we sign another midfielder, I think we need to tighten up our defence. Bamba is ok as a squad player, but the fact that Monk has made him Captain indicates to me that he'll be playing the majority of the games this season, and that scares me...

    Thoughts?

Leeds have turned down a 7m offer from West Ham for Charlie Taylor.

At what price would you sell Taylor IF a suitable replacement could be found?

Good morning all. Taylor is unsettled and should no longer be regarded as part of the team. He should be placed on the transfer list and the highest offer accepted. The premier league player refered to is probably a bench warmer but if he adds a bit of quality he will be welcome

Morning all... Key is suitable replacement... Who did we officially replace Byram with? Is Grimes the replacement for Cook??

This is looking like previous seasons already, basis in place but 2/3 players short on finishing what could be a decent squad.

Last season we never replaced our short fall at CB, this season we sell Bellusci we replace him with Bartley but seemingly forgetting we are still short.

I would rather have Taylor on the pitch than £10m in the bank and even if Cellino said here you go, here is £7m go and buy 3 players their wage demands would probably price us out, look at Bridcutt wanting £26k a week.

Recent rumours have linked us with Liam Moore, would love to sign him at CB.

http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/leedsunited/news/43447/ Cellino turned down offer to buy us offer was from Red Bull

Morning WCD, but at what price would YOU sell the best left back in the Championship.

I'd say first club to pay over the top and give us 12m can have him. I'd also have already had someone lined up. Doesn't have to be English either.

Morning ristac, I read the Red Bull story, but believe it is just that.... Bull!

I'm sure we can find a recent left back in either the French, Italian, Spanish or German league for 5m, spend the rest on 1m wages for Bridcutt, and a bloody decent centre back.

Cellino was the one giving the interview regarding Red Bull?

You mean you think he (Cellino) was being less than truthful?

I'd take either rodwell or jedinak. Both fantastic players that would improve us dramatically. Based on the QPR game we still need another midfielder at least.

7m for Taylor? Take it and go buy Rico Henry. Taylor is not the finished article, I still don't think he's that good defensively. Will be a good player though.

And yes, we are still 2 cbs short I think. Cooper will help but need to replace Bamba I think

Morning all. I think the prem midfielder will be Osman who's now a free agent and proven quality over many years. Would be brilliant for us. Rodwell was a great future star who took Man City money and never fulfilled his potential. He should have been fantastic for Sunderland and lets face it why would Moyes want to get rid of someone he brought up as a kid. I expect Rodwell to be on fire for Sunderland this season.

Team tonight will be similar to last weeks as he gives them a chance to show what they can do.

Please not Osman, at 35 I would see it as resigning to going back to the bottom of the barrel.

On the other hand we have a very young side and no experience in the middle and we need a boss. Osman has plenty of quality and many Evertonians are gutted that hes been allowed to walk away. We need 1 season from a top player who can create, scare defenders and score goals. Why would you say no to a freebie like that because of his age.

Morning all. Dont understand Bamba still being in the team and certainly not as captain. I wonder when Monk arrived, did he study dvds of the team from last season or at least read LL's match reports to get a feel of what the players were about, or did he just start with a blank canvas and let them prove themselves in pre season. As for Cooper, his crossing on Sunday was pathetic. If he's worth 12m, Ian Harte at todays values would have been worth 50m. Dont really see the point in trying to hang on to the lad when he clearly wants to be elsewhere. Cellino trying to make a stand maybe and keep till the January window I suppose

I do not want to sell Taylor but his agent has unsettled him and he wants to move. we should take the best offer.

I'd sell him for 12 million and get him and his poisonous agent out of the club. If players don't want to play for the club they can all feck off. We are never going to pay 30 grand a week so we just can't compete with the Premiership money bags. Now I realise we've only played one game and I certainly won't judge Monk yet. But people have been saying what a good choice he is(and he may turn out to be), but in my moments sobriety I can't see why Monk has picked Bamba, nevermind made him captain. He's a mistake waiting to happen. Morning all.<ok>
