avoiding jury duty.... who wants to see a gang rape case file or look them in the eye as a young woman... why have you not taught her the skills of getting out if this type of ****.
You can be damned sure that if i ever was on the jury i will definitely not be following UK law on whether someone is guilty or not such as only giving a guilty verdict if you are 100% sure that they are guilty
When I did jury duty it was so obvious the guy was guilty it was just a waste of taxpayers money having the trial, but he pleaded not guilty to delay a prison sentence I suppose. He may have got a lighter sentence had he pleaded guilty though. When we retired to the jury room and the foreman asked for a show of hands it was 100% guilty, but the tea and cakes were pretty good so we stuffed ourselves for 20 minutes then went back and gave our verdict. The poor sod probably thought "their taking their time I might get away with this", not realising the quality of the cakes and tea that jurors get
Eldest daughter came in last night requiring my shoulder. It looks as though she's splitting up with her boyfriend, I'm pleased to say. He's an arrogant, smug twat and control freak. It's got **** all to do with the fact that he's also a stinking manc
20mins is a very quick verdict. I think you have to take at least an hour unless the jury room is pants cos you are there anyway and the day is lost to you. I'd deffo tuck in.
good for her. Looks as though doesn't suggest a done deal though... does she not see this control freak aspect to him?
Moreso after last night. I've given him plenty of chances, MITO. He's very, very irritating. Joking aside, I'm a pretty bright guy, but I know my limitations. He believes he's God's gift to the intelligentsia and he acts that way too. He does it to the extent he doesn't even know that he is. He did it to someone at the Cheese a couple of months back and I had to diffuse it. She's too bright and beautiful to tolerate the annoying ****. I actually haven't really liked any of her boyfriends thus far, but for very different reasons. He's the worst, though. The youngest really doesn't like him, my ex-wife is the same and the unit can't be in the same room as him. She ****ing loathes him.
In what way is he controlling? Even if it's only small signs of this she's better to ditch him right now as it will get worse, people like that start small and work up to the properly nasty stuff
Which is what I said to her last night. The unit went as far as to say he came across like a cult leader.
In other news, it was pony-tail Keith's 50th birthday yesterday. He has the unfortunate and dubious honour of being the uncle of Carrie, the thieving cow ex-barmaid at the Cheese. If you'd been in there last night, you'd have thought it was her ****ing birthday, the self-centred ****
Do you know, I typed that and the spell check highlighted it. I thought, "yank ****e". I'm still completely convinced it's a valid word I guess even I can't get it right 100% of the time
