Hes always caused us problems, he has bit more about him than that. Delafaou and Lennon are classic runners, bolasie offers a bit more of a goal threat and tricky to be fair.

Yes he has through counter attack and pace, very direct and that I think suits koeman more than the others.

It's funny.

City slosh 47 mil into market to Everton.
They splash 12 at Swansea and 30 at palace
Then suddenly palace are knocking on our door.

I bet they are raging city broke the stones story so soon... now all the ducks are in a row to see us get our 32mil.

And swansea splashing out £15m of that on Borja Baston, a reserve player from Atletico <yikes>

Still better than anything they've got.

One big city splurge and the market starts shifting into over drive.

You'd swear none of these clubs had a red cent until now and they all are loaded with cash.

I can still see Firmino as our front player a lot, atleast early in the season, as he will provide us that press from the front and ability to turn play around fast.

By adding Wejnaldum and Mane Klopp has added more goals to our AM zone, and 2 players who will run ahead and get in the box, allowing Firmino more freedom to create as well as scoring.

This wont go for every game, but I can see it in games against teams who are happy to sit back, pass around their defense and try pinch a lucky goal.

Firmino and Lallana press like mad in the middle, quickly turn play around when the opponent is open, and Wejnaldum and Mane can blast in from wide zones.

For years we have struggled with these teams.

In more open games and games where will will get chances on the counter Sturridge or Origi will come in and shine, and Coutinho should thrive from thee movement ahead of him.

I dunno. I think Firmino yeah work hard and plays better the further up he is but to not play origi... I dunno.

I can see 433 games where 3 CMs is important for sure.

Oh and for tight games playing Firmino no 9 is playing into defenses hands as we would play in front of them.

Take say a Chelsea away... OK the onus on them is to play, do yeah we could play Firmino as you suggest

Chelsea at home and conte keeps it Tight? We might as well have 6 CMs as Firmino up top as we will just play in front to of them all game.

As I think on this.... city splurge 49mil on sterling. We passed it on to villa for benteke.

Now city splurge on everton player, Everton pass a bit on the website get the benteke money back... city pay twice, villa poured it down the drain.

In the middle everton benefit by 2 players....

It's just a merry go round based on Arab oil money pouring in one end and out the other

Everton buying Bolasie for £30m then.. No wonder were holding out for £32m from palace for benteke.

Everton splashing the cash, but splashing it on current prem players from lower clubs. £30m for bolasie, £12m for Williams, £18m for Kone. Fair play to new owner putting money where his mouth is. I like bolasie, good player but is very hot and cold, £30m might be pushing it when Mane was £5m more and his goals/assists were better.

You could say they're copying our transfer strategy

I can't really see this, tbh.
Firmino does press well, but he isn't a prolific scorer. He has a midfielder's scoring record and we need a recognised striker as first option, imo.
Of course it's necessary to win the ball back early but you have to then threaten the goal. I still don't see further than Sturridge for the half dozen games he'll be fit for and Origi the rest of the time.

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva could be leaving for Sampdoria, according to the Corriere Dello Sport. The Italian newspaper believe negotiations are “in progress” between the Reds and the Serie A side, and there could be important developments on the transfer soon.

It was believed that Jurgen Klopp was reluctant to allow the Brazilian to leave with Liverpool lacking defensive cover. The 29 year old was played regularly at centre back under the German at the end of last season and put in a top class performance in the position when he started the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City back in February.

With Joel Matip now returning to full fitness to go alongside Ragnar Klavan and Dejan Lovren to compete for spots at centre back, it now looks likely that Liverpool’s longest serving will be allowed to leave before the end of August, with Sampdoria seemingly front runners for the player’s signature.

I can see it happening but that's purely because Studge & Origi are both injury prone.
