    If by "good form" they mean "got injured, and then couldn't get off the bench for a team that almost got relegated", sure. I doubt we're in for Castaignos, which is nice, because he isn't all that good.

    Liverpool's transfer policy must've rubbed off on their Merseyside neighbours. Paying over the odds for "proven" premier league players that have had 1/2 good years. And I stress the word good, Bolasie (admittedly been here longer than 2 years) has been exceptional at times but overall he hasn't had one consistently amazing season. Kone another similar one.

    I just find it fascinating how committed they are to the little copy-and-paste talking points every paper seems to use for every unjustifiable transfer rumour. 30 seconds of research is apparently beyond them.

    I don't begrudge the writers, for the most part. But the more logical pulled-out-of-arse explanation was right there...I mean, former Twente star (kinda) available for a cut-rate price because he had a rough year makes much narrative sense than suggesting that he was in a rich vein of form, yet his club was willing to part with him for a bowl of lukewarm oatmeal and a creased photo of Helmut Kohl.
