Yes, I can see you've been there. I would certainly have wished you a happier situation. You wouldn't wish these moments on anyone.

For me the unease happens when people put their own inability to cope with loss before the wishes of the person who is going to die, when it is clear that person wants to go. Surely a person earns the right to be in charge of their destiny, if they are capable of the rational thought.

I'm right with you on this, however I do understand the difficulty for the other person. It doesn't make them right, in fact I honk they are very wrong, but I've seen how hard it can be for them too. They are usually in denial of death.

Sure, so do I. What makes it worse is that this is often the last taboo subject of conversation for anyone in denial of death, so it almost becomes impossible to resolve. Events often take a hand.

Right with you on this. I lost my dad when I was 26, he was 60. When they're the pillar that holds the family together it's desperately difficult to let them go. But there absolutely comes a point where it's for the best for everyone concerned, most of all them.

Yep the trouble is on this issue it was the House of Lords who voted. So you have to take that into account even if greater minds propose the solution

Anyone here a "Countryfile" fan? I went to the Countryfile road show at Blenheim Palace on Sunday and was amazed to see huge crowds there so I guess it must be one of the most popular programs on TV. Entry was expensive but it was well worth it seeing all the arts, crafts, machinery, and animal husbandry of the countryside. More important was the education taking place from observing the training of dogs to encouraging a respect for bees and what were once termed pests such as foxes and ferrets.

I read Ides comment as they were training dogs to respect bees. <laugh> Countryfile has a terrific following....I find it interesting though I don't watch every week. Blenheim is lovely as well.

Watched Suicide Squad earlier. Damn it is bad, like really bad. Leto as the Joker is just a gangster with face paint.

    2/10 movie for me.

Did you not see a trailer first? One watch of the trailer was enough for me.

Not sure what people were expecting when it comes to this movie, it was hardly going to be as deep as Shawshank was it!
The end was rubbish, they tried to make the squad likable which kinda misses the point of the movie, but Margot Robbie was a pretty ace HQ. I liked it, and I'm not a fan of Marvel or DC.

I feel like all the hype was built around Robbie, rather than the film itself. I won't be watching.

I'm into the super hero films. Plus have a cinema season pass, so thought I would give it a try. First 40-50 mins was like I was watching MTV with all the different songs being played.

Even she isn't that good. Pyro and Will Smith playing Will Smith are the best. At least with Pyro they actually had some back story. The Enchantress was like really really bad, cara who plays her should never be in a film again.

Oh dear I'd totally forgotten Cara was even in it. Obviously that was a bad idea. I don't think Robbie is that good, she has just milked the wolf of wall street film, where I didn't even think she was that great.

There was so much hype in the US for this movie, all based on a few leaked shots of characters in make-up etc.
