No idea but Man City have apparently named Stones in their squad for their upcoming champions league game, think the deal is nearly done??
I was just typing something similar - but how can you name him in the squad if he is not your player???? deadline was 12.00 last night btw
No idea but they have, maybe they named him and if he hadn't signed then they would be a player light in the squad. probably named him in it due to the deadline so that if/when he signed he would be available for selection.
I wonder if SAFC realise how badly Kones leaving would go down with fans. Really sick if this is true
Think this could be happening like, koné is always on Twitter surely he can see what's going on and he would have came out and said he's staying??
Why? I think Moyes will be well aware of what he's capable of. Our scouts would be sent elsewhere, I suspect.
please log in to view this image The Daily Mail, Sunderland scouts have been running the rule over Norwich City forward Steven Naismith. Black Cats boss David Moyes signed the Scotland international for Everton back in summer 2012 and appears to be eyeing a reunion at the Stadium of Light. Indeed, The Daily Mail claim Sunderland’s chief scout Mick Doherty watched the 29-year-old in action during a 4-1 win over Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Naismith scored the Canaries’ final goal of the afternoon whilst notching up two created chances and two successful dribbles over the course of ninety minutes. The versatile forward spent three-and-a-half seasons at Goodison Park, bagging 18 goals in 103 Premier League appearances before signing for Alex Neil’s side during the 2016 January transfer window. He scored just once in 13 Premier League appearances for the Carrow Road outfit as they plummeted out of the top flight last season. Naismith’s Norwich contract expires in summer 2019.
Probably wise... All we need is a couple of injuries and we'll be struggling to field a 5-a-side team !!
Kone is a vital part of our threadbare squad, any move for him under 30m should be laughed at, Everton are cute operators and the peanuts they are offering and the ransoms they are demanding are little short of daylight robbery, and they should be told so. We have already "given" Big Sam away but we had no choice, we do in this instance though and the club must stand firm and not let the supporters down.
