Good list I'd add Memphis Belle and Cross of Iron to that. And Stalingrad, made by the Germans.

The one thing being off air has done, is that it has got rid of the usual suspects allowing a whole new wave to try their hand

I agree.. it got too big, too costly, too destructive. You were asking lads to spend 1000s then take bascially theri holidays to record the thing then get wreaked in 30 seconds.

it ran out of competitors... the mad garage types.

I need to see this current one yet

    Glutton for boring films?

Suicide squad was brill, restored my faith in DC's ability to make a good movie, batmans 2 mini scenes in this were better than the whole of BvS, dead shot and harley Quinn stealing the show for me in particular.

best DC Universe film yet, by some way

**** the media, im pretty sure they said revenant was a rollercoaster of a film too <laugh> more like ironing board of a film.

personally i enjoyed SS, and was judging it against BvS mostly, which being a bit of a batman fan left me seething with how ****e/overly superman based BvS was.

Oh yes - Downfall! Only the Germans could make such an eviscerating film about Hitler. ****ing brilliant, and that's a word I don't use freely.

Film and TV series. And throw Tin Drum in too. Oh, and Fury with Brad Pitt (sound in this) and The Trench with Daniel Craig and Danny Dyer,
