Anyone watch marvel agents of shield. Have 3 series worth on sky box sets which working through atm. Half way through series 1 quite enjoying it.
Went to see Jason Bourne last night. While not as good, action wise as the first 3 films (never seen the 4th film with the different guy) I thought this was still a very good, fast paced film.
Good action film but then you think at how many minutes you spent watching people walking briskly and looking over their shoulder.
finally someone saw bourne. I felt: 1. derivative... rambo, hot shots.. guys fighting in dingy pits cos they "feel bad" jesus be original!!! 2. heavily copied script of prior films.. very similar to supremacy 3. The girl agent... not really believable. 4. compared to other films the style of action was just jerky camera work and made it a chore to watch. It was however a decent movie overall but i did feel that after the time between movies they should have had a better script that rinse and repeat with a pit fighting bit to explain where bourne was all that time.
Insightful and specific contribution IBWT, covering all of film so you don't have to watch it #answeringthiswhenanyoneasksmeformyopiniononafilmfromnowon
I think this will be the main focus of the storyline if they do another film. Something will happen where the CIA will need his help and the threat will have something to do with wherever he's been since Bourne Ultimatum. From what I've heard though, it was still much better than that other Bourne film with the Avengers guy! For me, the first 3 Bourne films were 10/10 films, this was never going to be as good as those 3. I'd still give it a 7.5 out of 10 though.
I expect so. He walked away and the girl was not killed in a bomb like my wife thought she should be... for me I just didn't believe her like i believed the woman in the bourne supremacy. She was just too young for it. I would agree, the pacing of the first 3 was better. perhaps they fell into the modern day hollywood traps of computers can do anything. As i said i watched the spuremacy a few days after and a) bounre is much younger b) they are not in totla control of everything the us film and tv makers have this thing where one person at a temrinal can do anything and everything. this is prob why i didnt find her character believable.... it didn't add up. a) super ambitious b) takes a job with cia not with a start up like her billionaire classmate c) is supergirl on steroids when using a computer. the three don't add up.
The motorbike 'satnav' chase was pathetic imo. I too thought she was going to get blown up at the end. Was a good twist with what happened (won't spoil but it shows that he's miles ahead of them).
that was tron. there is no way they can hack in and get real time access to greeks setting up road blocks cos frankly it won't be on a computer it will be a guy with a radio or many independent guys. America just thinks every moment is regulated and controlled... yet they can't see that if this were the case isis couldn't do what they do?? I don't get that but it i think it an assumption technology is so far beyond us now they can do anything and just explain with with "oooh computer magic!" It was a decent chase like...just didn't need all the command and control. like... the guy being controlled is an "asset" so if he's going to stand up to bourne he's got to be fairly special like... just let them at each other.
Hopefully another film would show that its soldiers that win wars and not the technology geeks or pencil pushing graduates with no combat experience who learn everything in books. That was the whole point of the end I think. You had a 'super clever' woman thinking that she'd outsmarted Bourne, but because of his field experience and military instincts, he turned the tables completely. Her arrogance was her downfall.
true, though... in the end she didn't have a downfall. all she needs to do is become the next in a long line of "he just won't come in so we kill him" types.. and then she'll get it however as of now.. well she got what she wanted by betraying her bosses.
I think she did with Bourne because she assumed that she'd gained his trust, but she hadn't because he set her up by recording her conversation. I think it will take a huge attack on the US for Bourne to come in and work with the CIA again.
yeah... but thats next movie. as of right then she'd got exactly what she wanted out of the big boys. you might be right. It would be very logical for it to be some big attack he has to foil as all the he's a patriot lines that are sprinkled throughout everyone who's tried to get him to "come in" seem to point to something like that. for such a premise it would have to be believable. what could he foil as an asset as they would have to approach him. surely he can't turn up saying oh I happen to know all about this isis lad like... sound la but going a bit demented about syria so is going to blow up the white house like.
Watched 'Defiance' last night on Netflix. True story about the Jewish Forrest Camps. Loved it. 8.5/10
