I followed city for 51 years I had great times in ALL 4 leagues. Right now there is no positives about our club thanks to our owners I am always a positive person. But can't see any positives in what the Allams are doing
Actually Manila Tiger Those who DONT moan about kids and pensioners being priced out of supporting Hull City should be ashamed No concessions is a ****s trick and effects so many supporters of our club Seems some don't give a toss
I feel cheated. Pre-season is the one time of the year when all football fans are optimistic. It's a new season, new players come in and everyone hopes for a memorable one. Something we can look back on and savour. We're probably the only fans in the country that don't have that. It's been ****. Absolute **** this last month. No Manager and one fit centre half and we're 5 days away from the opening game. The Allams are cheating the PL, cheating the players, cheating the sponsors and cheating the fans. Me and my son are in two minds whether to go on Saturday. We want to support the few players we have. Torn.
We have been a damaged club before, we have faced adversity many times before. But in the past we had a hardcore support who faced the adversity of struggling in the lower leagues, struggling against rugby league booms and coping with bad chairmen and owners. The difference now and what is probably unique is our hardcore support is fractured and staying away, **** the tourists filling Premier League seats, proper die hard City are staying away from home games and that will be the death of Hull City unless new owners can come in and unite the fan base again.
Some strange comments from the expats on here, yea for sure its great to be back in the Premier League all the games are shown on TV and I don't need to go looking for a stream, in the old days listening to the radio or waiting for the newspaper to arrive, but come on its nothing like having to decide weather to go to the game or boycott. Seat moves, price increases, no concessions, being told you're irrelevant by the club owners and on top of all that just the usual ****iness that comes with modern football, all seater, sit down or get thrown out, go to separate to squabbling fans and you could end up with a football ban, sure there is more. I have said before that I take my hat of to all those who actually put up with it all and go and now that equally applies to those who have said enough is enough and decided to boycott.
Well said. I 'only ' go back 50 years but echo many of your thoughts. Despite everything the current owners are doing and not doing, we will survive, and my 18 year old son and I are going to get up at 6.30 on Saturday morning to make the 8 - 9 hour trip from SW London to support the team and the players on Saturday. I still believe that long after the Allams have left the scene, the club and team will roll on - so will continue to support in the hope that when we come out the other side of all this, we are still intact!
Nice you can afford it Kingston Tiger . Many can't now the concessions have gone I will be there as well protesting loud and proud It's cheaper for me.....but I didn't need or want a reduction for myself No two ways about it the no concessions is a vile idea ALLAMS OUT
Suppose we should add charles stokell, joannahatfield, Yardley Tiger and nw tiger to that 1940's list CT. An iconic Hull City anniversary event coming up in just over 3 weeks time for the '40's group. Wonder how many were there? Owners, good and bad come and go. Managers, good and bad come and go. Players, good and bad come and go. Hull City supporters are the only constant in this chain of events.
Great post !! And this is exactly why I am looking forward to the coming season.........call me old fashioned but I just like watching football.
Yeah, but I like to be controversial........I prefer to watch football.........I can't understand these strange people who go to watch owners !!
personally I used to enjoy listening to Alan Partridges "Allams funny story " segment on his radio show ... But these shouldn't be making me laugh out loud
Spot on BMB. Despite the damage they are currently inflicting on the Club the obnoxious and malicious owners are a transient phenomenon in our 110 year history. Hull City and our supporters wil be here long after the Allams have become a bad dream. No matter what Division we are in there will be new victories to celebrate and new talented players to enjoy. Keep the faith!!
Not being funny Kingston but if you get up at 06.30 on Saturday morning to make an 8/9 hour journey you will arrive about 2 hours after the game has ended. Please be aware that the game kicks off at 12.30 on Saturday so a 03.30 start might be required. I would hate to think that you had come all this way to miss the game. Cheers.
That is the nub of it isn't it. Watching on tv from half way around the world is easier than having to support the team which requires you to line their pockets with your hard earned money.
