I thought he was really showing signs of improvement towards the end of last season and I'm just HOPING that AN Durant doesn't tinker too much with the starting line up.
Only change I would make is McGovern in for Ruddy. Overall can't really complain too much about a pretty much perfect performance. Also the only team who came down last season to get points
I have to agree woodbine - and I hadn't realised we were the only relegated team to get a win and we're still top of the League!! I loved hearing the fans singing it on Radio Norfolk!!! Where DO they find some of these callers on #CanaryCall - just listening to Cutty and now we've got Dennis who wants to get rid of JR - though I have to say I'm tempted to agree!!!! Aarrgh - Now we've got Pammy!!
May have to replace Olsson depending on fitness. I'd put Brady in there next week. That could make us look even better going forward.
I have to agree, but I've got a nasty suspicion that that's who will start, as he seems to have some sort of 'hold' over AN.
Even then, playing him gives him the chance to show himself off and we can increase his price. Given we don't seem desperate for the money, if he gets injured for a couple of weeks and no one wants him I think we'd be ok with that too. He always come across as a professional I'm certain he'd put a shift in.
Doesn't seem like he's agitated for a move. Selling him would hopefully make getting a new striker in easier, but we're not desperate for the money as you say. I think we'll only sell if someone stumps up big money for him.
If Brady stays, we're certainly stacked up with options WL. By way of an update, AN says Graham Dorrans will be in contention to face the Owls on Saturday after missing out at Blackburn with a groin injury and Brady and Martin are both back in training. “Graham (Dorrans) was close to being involved. He had a fitness test but couldn’t quite make it. I am hopeful he’ll be ready for this week,” said Neil. “Martin just felt it tighten up just before half-time. Jonny (Howson) the same later on with his ankle as well so those two substitutions were precautionary and with Wes he had done his damage so we brought him off late on.” Russell Martin and Robbie Brady were both in attendance at Ewood Park after returning to training last week.
So just precautionary substitutions, nothing to worry about. Same starting 11 next Saturday then unless McGovern replaces Ruddy.
When you're 3-0 up after 30 minutes. You need to start looking at the next game. Especially with the mid field depth we have.
If it were any other side I'd agree with you, but our capitulations to Liverpoo and Wet sham are still a little to fresh in the memory for me to think any game is over til the WITB has blown. Looking past the task at hand is always a sure fire way to come unstuck. Bah!
True but a) we weren't playing a team near the quality of the two you mentioned. We were ahead in the games you mentioned but but no means completely dominant. And b) the task in hand is getting promoted it's a squad game and it not like the side was weakens particularly by the changes.
