There was speculation a week or so ago that Fernández is being targeted by arsenal http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...me-after-per-mertesacker-injury-a7165096.html
I think Arsenal were mildly asking a week or so ago. Also , when Monk benched Fernandez for Garry's last three games in charge there was talk of Fernadez putting in for a transfer last window . Not sure if he might still have a bad taste from the episode , especially watching Bartley sh:t the bed those 3 games . But , there is interest in Fernandez , pretty sure it was Arsenal .
Busy day expected today, Ayew going and Baston arriving, hopefully everything goes smoothly. Who's had the better deal though do you think the Swans or West Ham?
I think it's a deal that suits both parties. £20M is a little undervalued for Ayew in this crazy market, but happy to accept because he was free and we'll no longer have the dilemma of where to play him. Baston is an exciting prospect without too much pressure with Llorente likely to be number 1 at the beginning. Win win I say
On the upside, we won't lose Ayew for a fair chunk of the season every other Jan/Feb. Clutching at straws??!
No idea, I don't really keep up to speed on how they play, but I think he's a good player and should fit in given the opportunity. He was their number one target this window, so their manager seems to think so.
Ayew is a loss but £20M isn't to be sniffed at despite the overvaluing of players. It depends on who replaces him and how effective he is I guess. Bojon looks decent. On the upside, Ayew had a tendency to be selfish at times and as we all know he unbalanced our team.

Personally, I think Guidolin decided that he wouldn't use Ayew as a winger because he "disrupts" our playing style - Montero, Barrow, Routledge & Dyer will be our widemen - and would use Ayew only as a striker. That's why he wants Baston signed before Ayew can leave.
