Great to see an Aussie beat a drug cheat in the swimming to win Gold!

 

In the women's cycling road race leader van Vleuten in a horror crash descending, Liz Armitstead in chasing group..

 

Abbott caught by chasing group in last 100 metres and finished 4th, cruel...

 

That crash was very very nasty....no news on how she was

 

Absolutely crazy downhill section. Two of the three leaders crashed out on the final descent of that same stretch yesterday.

Van Vleuten seemed to come down on her neck and hadn't moved an inch when the American passed her 10 to 15 seconds later. Hope she is OK.

I'll say it again, crazy downhill and the organisers will have questions to answer.

 

Been out today, was this the same decent where the men crashed yesterday?

That crash was horrifying, I thought she may have broken her neck.

Just been watching the fencing. Don't get it at all. Whatever floats your boat I suppose.

 

Exactly what I was thinking SB - broken neck was the first thing that came to my mind.

 

Three small fractures in her back and big concussion. She's in intensive care.

 

Current medal tally ...............Aussie only has the drug cheats in front of us, not too shabby for a small honest nation.
