I really cant see this going on any longer than tomorrow. I think its going to be Phelan. Playing devils advocate, was it going to be him all along and they were worried the fans would be underwhelmed so kept it going so we're desperate? He walked at Norwich when not given the job. Why would he stay here, highly doubtful an incoming manager would keep him on. Doubt he needs the money that much.

Is it all an evil plan to gradually rape the club of all its assets? But why give Elmo and Hudd new contracts? Yet they havent bought any other new players. Was this out of respect for a Coleman or Zola to pick their own payers? I doubt it but...

Anyway its going to be Phelan. Now give the bloke some money and let him have a go!!!

They haven't even spoken to Phelan in the past two weeks and there definitely wasn't a plan to appoint him from the start.

If he's appointed, it's because no other ****er would take the job.

I'm still clinging to the hope that it's just being left for the new owner to sort.

It always was going to be Phelan - they're skint and don't want to spend any money - all these delays and claims of big name managers are designed to demonstrate they tried - they actually didn't - Hudd and Elmo could have left for nothing - give them an extension and their value increases to a new buyer or in the event of a sale - no brainer really

Any word on if the sale to this new investment group is any closer?

I carnt believe he'll take it, I know he wants to be a manager but they've tried other options, they haven't spoken to him for 2 weeks and he probably won't get any money to spend.
On the positive side it's a no lose situation for him

The only thing that's definite is they're ****s.

There's no pending sale, they're ****s. They fed the story to Sky in an attempt to head off any protests because they're ****s. Remember "stop protesting daddiy's ill" when the red cards came out? They're ****s you see, even use the old ****'s illness to manipulate supporters, the ****s. They're not selling, they're recouping their gift, raping the club, raping you, raping me, raping Irememberwaggy, although he's enjoying it & begging for more. ****s, they're just ****s.

Phelan is more likely to walk this week than accept the job, he knows ****s when he sees them.

Disagree about Phelan, he'll take it. He definitely wants it.

I think he would have a couple of weeks back, now he knows he's at least 4th choice & was only being offered it because others won't touch it. He may carry on as caretaker but I think if offered it full time he'd turn it down.

Bruce is well thought of amongst his peers, I think he may have been consulted by those approached as to what it's like working for the idiots. We'd all ask wouldn't we?

If, and it is a big if, there is a buyer in the wings, then it sees sensible to keep Phelan in charge until that is concluded. I am not convinced there is buyer in waiting, and the cynic in me thinks the Allams just put out this story to deflect criticism and the hope that might dampen the chances of a demonstration at the Lesta game.

If it is Phelo then he can start by bringing in Wilson and Fosu- Mensah on loan from The Mancs.

Add 3 or 4 permanent signings and we're off and running.

The American Consortium, Roberto Martinez, Gianfranco Zola, Chris Coleman & all others mentioned have each personally sent this recorded message to the exclusive red telephone hot line in Ehab's office: "Yo Ehab, when ya phone ain't ringing, that's me not calling."
